Because of the energy crisis rumors are circulating that some teams are wanting early kick-offs to cut down on their usage, especially Leagues 1 and 2 and lower down the pyramid.
Suggestions have been made for games to kick off as early as 1pm.
How many people could attend a 1pm midweek fixture, doesn't make financial sense to me.
Guessing this will only apply to weekend games in the winter months where floodlights are needed for the second half - no way it’s viable for midweek kickoffs as it would drastically reduce attendances, negating any savings.
Could our injured players be used to power the floodlights using exercise bikes during games, which will also aid their recovery?
Win win, surely?
