Thought it was going to be 3,4 or 5 one at half time but huge credit to the players. First half was the usual crap but they really dug in, in ghe second half. O'Hare ran miles, Etuhu won everything, Parkes dominated his space, Gary Miller shut down the right channel and Hope ran and harried despite some poor finishing. Let's see the same spirit again next week at Stevenage

We won that's what counts.shit officials as usual, I hope the club appeals the red card.

At the end of the day it was a great day at the office, I wouldn't have fancied us 1-2 down at half time to get a draw, rather a good spanking was on the cards but luck was on our side and Adam Collin was on top form.

Not many times will you pull that trick off, that was a special one

That today was just bonkers and wonderful and stunning.

The lads I talk to from Bury are real fans the ones who drove Day out and from what they've said the latest tosser won't be far behind him after what he said and did this week unlike you and your bunch of Trust [censored] who won't lift a finger to rid us of the cancer that is Jenkins and co but can i ask do you all take it in turns to stick your dicks up his arse or is true that you're his favourite and always get first dibs ?

I very much doubt the lads you were talking to were anything to with it unless of course, you're a closet former member of the BNP.

But hey if you are and you're taking the Trust way to the right that can only be a good thing. Why not get in touch with the Football Lads Alliance maybe they could arrange for Tommy Rob to come to a match and help with your next recruitment drive.

I'm still buzzing about it now!
I have to say at half time I was really frustrated and down with the 1st half.
Despite a much better end to the half, we looked a bit lost and looked almost shellshocked at times.
You could see the confidence was low and I was left scratching my head at the some of the stuff.
Bury tired as the half went on and Devitt & O'Hare got into the game more but when Jones was sent off I thought that was it
I honestly thought then that at the end people would be streaming out way before the final whistle, 3 or 4-1 down and that the team would get booed off.
Just goes to how how much I know about the game!
Etuhu coming on made a massive difference, I thought, and the equalizer rocked Bury a bit.
It's funny really playing against 10. We did it against Wycombe last year - were 3-2 up against 10 men and they get 2 late goals to win and you're left wondering, "how on earth did that happen?"
Clearly Collin was MOM but I have to say I thought Tom Parkes' preformance was immense. Absolutely immense. Clearly running on empty towards the end of the game yet still throwing his body on the line.
Callum O'Hare was just superb as well, I thought. What a brilliant attitude he has for a player of his ilk. Talk about work rate and doing the ugly stuff.
I think that when the dust settles on the performance there'll be a lot to mull over and clearly one swallow doesn't make a Summer.
But whatever your view on the club, the players or the manager, at the end of the game yesterday you walk away from the ground thinking what a brilliant game of football that was.
And for me being very new to the club and from a far off land I can't help feeling just a little bit Cumbrian for 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon.

Never enjoyed a game as much for a long time. Two of the saves from Collin were brilliant to keep us in the game and we defended heroically at times second, on another day they might have scored six or seven.

Well, despite being outplayed for long periods of time ( financial worries certainly didnt seem to affect their players ) we defended resolutely in the 2nd half and it is a performance and result to savour for a long time - irrespective of what may or may not happen in subsequent weeks. That's football - up one week, down the next. You've got to enjoy the day. The villains of the piece were the ref ( never a 2nd yellow for Jones -it was right near us and he'd pulled out of the challenge ) Rossiter(?), who made a meal of it and the elbow by their player, I think it was Stokes, just a minute or two before Jones' sending off. It should have been a straight red.

Kelvin Etuhu a straight swap for Mike Jones next week. Although they are both defensive midfielders they can bring creativity and, when both available, I'd like to see them together in the team to see how that works - probably at the expense of Regan Slater, who has gone off the boil in the last few games ( 21 league games plus 11 as sub so a young lad starting to tire ).

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, a 2nd yellow so no appeal possible.

Adam Collin was top drawer today, MOTM by a country mile. I saw the overall game a bit different to some. We got a gift of a goal to get us going but the first half was very frustratingly poor in many ways. Last home game Jones was excellent, yesterday he looked off it and with that ref, his sending off was always coming. Second half there was a lot of commitment from our lads for sure but Bury should have been way out of sight, they pressed well but their finishing was dreadful. It wasn't a great performance by us that got us the win, it was a combination of Bury's lack of quality, a keeper inspired and in top form, and bit of grit and luck.

Thought the officials missed a lot and were, in general, of the usual low quality we've come to expect. How Stokes didn't even get a yellow for his assault on Miller is beyond me..................... Then he cards their No 6 for a pull on O'Hare which was probably correct, no consistency at all.

Agree with that BP but dont forget Hallam Hope, who worked his socks off, missed two really good chances in the 2nd half before he scored.

That's the problem with hope though, his conversion rate isn't good enough. He runs around a lot but you could never describe him as a physical presence. Misses too many good chances for me and gives away too many silly free kicks. I'm really not impressed with Thomas either, flatters to deceive, LAZY! He should watch Nicky Adams, quality balls into the box time and time again.

3 points on the board which is all that matters. Were we decent? Did we play well? No is the answer. As whoever posted above Bury if it wasn't for poor finishing could have and should have been out of sight by 60 minutes. They just about gave Carlisle the 3 points. 1st goal glaring slip which cost them a goal and 3rd goal... God only knows what they're CB was doing or thinking to give away corner that led to goal. Keeper was going crazy with him and I would be if I was one of his team mates too. Cost them the game. Standing thinking to myself at that point really how crap the standard of players and standard of league 2 is. These are professional players getting paid good money at that. It's simple simple stuff and they can't do it properly. Defensively Bury were absolutely shocking. How they were 3rd before playing today is beyond me but as said goes to show the crapness and quality of league 2.

After our early goal Bury took control by passing around us down either wing and we struggled to close them down, every time they put the ball in the area our defence was at sixes and sevens . We were coming more into the game in the fifteen minutes before halftime then we paid the price for failing to defend another cross into the area, then the sending off which was farcical .......In the second half Pressley reorganised the team well and as the game progressed you could see panic set into the Bury team as they missed chance after chance........The way and times we broke from defense was superb to watch with Devitt and OHare at the heart of it. In the end a thoroughly deserved win.!

I thought Hope had a great game. Two good saves from those two chances.

He gets a ot of unwarranted stick from some in paddock. Not sure what that's about. We've had a lot worse players than him!

Hope would be a great player if he had two right feet as his left foot is nothing more than something to allow him to stay upright-shame.

Adams did not disappear in the second half. He set up what should have been a certain goal for them if they could finish.

Both their wing backs (Adams and Stokes) had less space second half due to our formation change and us sitting deep, but Adams in particular was still a threat when he got the ball.

Incredible game, and shows why football is so popular. Anything can happen. Often uncomfortable to watch but wins like this are often the most satisfying against the odds.

Bury are a gung-ho team and they rely on taking their chances, they will always concede. First half we were dominated and pressed and outpowered at times and it looked grim after Jones got sent off. But maybe that helped as psychologically Bury might have fancied they'd got it in the bag. Still like the Alamo for a spell in 2nd half as we sat back deliberately but we defended heroically and Collin made some brilliant saves. Late in the 2nd half I started thinking that we were actually doing well to be still in it and people started believing that we could get something, and so it proved. Bury were very strong in many ways but flawed and error-prone too. You've got to give credit to players and management for the way they hewed a win out of this one.

As a lot of others thought, we were outplayed for most of the first half and I thought it was all over when Jones got sent off.
The sending off of Jones forced Pressley to make a change at half time bringing on Etuhu for Slater.
With us being down to 10 men, Bury started to press forward more and went three at the back, especially so after we equalised. This allowed us more options on the break and when Simpson came on he forced a corner. We never won anything in the air upfront until that final corner and Simpson's header back across the box.

The guy looked offside for their first goal although it might have been the camera angle, also that was never a sending off offence for Jones. So all in all a the result was a fair one.

The facts say otherwise before the rumours of the financial problems started a 16 game unbeaten run was it playing great football and brushing teams aside yet since the facts became known 3 straight defeats on the trot and the evidence in the letter from the player's wife to the Bury Times which this week said the opposite. And in the words of a lad, I speak to who was there yesterday " They've lost their swagger "

Think most of us will probably regard you as an adopted Cumbrian anyway NCF. a lot more Cumbrian than some of the plastic Liverpool/Man U, fans that were born and bread up here.

Apparently, Days pile of crap was so big that the new owner very quickly realised things are so bad that it wasn't even worth putting money in to try and save it hence the issues with the wages.

I.m told 10 million won't even touch the sides and it will take 5m alone just to get the ground back
