I remember years ago Northampton coming up here rock bottom without a win in months we were going well I think they brought a good number of fans considering maybe 250 and they beat us 1-0 it was probably the best away support I have seen at BP they sang and supported their team from start to finish,i hate losing but its the only time I have ever left BP genuinely pleased for the opposition fans they deserved it for the way they supported their team that day

Nene Park was Rushden's ground.

Northampton's previous home was The County Ground which was shared with Northants CCC and was thus three sided with the cricket pitch on one side. It had a decrepit away terrace, not sure about a grass bank.

I was looking at their squad earlier and now I know why they're in the position they are in as they have some decent players. Lee Martin is too good to be in L2 surely.
