I'm waiting for the last couple of games and the club to announce that club are going to offer ST holders shirts for £5 as recompense for the whole not playing at home thing.

Same every year with the offers for non-ST holders to get in.

I've long ago reconciled myself to the fact that there's absolutely no benefit in having a ST.

So for a membership fee of £20 you can save £12 on the remaining 6 home matches?! That will get thousands flocking back!

Whole heartedly agree... I only do it as the one off payment in May seems less of a financial hit than the weekly cost, even though it isn't after I miss 2 or 3 games a season.

Bit more than that isn't it? £14 a match for standing when it's normally £19 on the gate. That's a saving of a fiver per match. 5x6 is 30 so you're saving £30 on the remaining games. Not bad really.

Yeah but its only £16 in advance. Maybe if they made it £11 in advance itd have that sort of saving. God knows why theres a membership fee anyway. Why dont they just say its £84 instead of £96 if you commit to the last 6 games. The membership is a red herring.

Exactly what I thought. They should make season tickets more reasonable in the first place.

Bit cheeky of them to be lashing offers out when they're knocking them back left right and centre themselves.

Suppose the whole thing is more appealing to folk like me who pay on the day.

Yeah I didn't understand the membership thing either.

But youd have to pay in advance for this so i would say it has to be comparable to the early buy price. Its not a bad deal anyway for anyone whos gonna make all 6 games.

Aye exactly, the deal might motivate me to pay in advance because of the much larger saving though. Also convenience of only having to pay once. What about the tickets? Do you get them all at once or pick each one up before each match? Added bonus if you get them all at once as it adds convenience on top of the savings.

The thing I liked most about having a season ticket was the convenience.

It's easy to criticise so I will.

These offers sound ridiculously complicated. Why not just say buy all six tickets for £84 and home shirts for ten pounds with any match tickets? (Additionally, season ticket holders should be included in the shirt offer)

Do people really want to use foxy's for 6 matches in a row? It seems an odd offer.

It should be decided at the start of the season how many offers will be made during the season and the season ticket discounts advertised against that price, rather than full price x £23.

That is all.

Went down to the club yesterday to take them up on their "generous" offer for the 6 remaining games for me and Mrs Bollox and was charged £208! When I said it should only be £168 (12 X £14 including the membership fees as stated on the club website)they said no the £20/person membership fee was on top of the £14 ticket price. I went on to say in that case these tickets have cost me £17.33 each, £1.33 more than if I'd just bought them the day before each game as I usually do!

I was told yeh it's a bit misleading.... No wonder fans aren't flocking back ..... Tinpot Club!!!

Would say this season the guarantee of your seat for the Everton and priority for Liverpool tickets were two benefits of having a season ticket. I know the priority tickets is one of the reasons I get a Flexi Card at the start of the season.
Think they need to lower the initial price of season tickets to sell more and then allow them to offer better and less complicated deals in the season.

So this End of Season membership is different to a standard membership?
If my flexi ticket entitled me to this offer I would take it up even though I can only make 4out of the 6games but am not paying £20 for it.

Something that should be raised at the next CUSG meeting (whether it's this forum's rep or the Fan's Rep doing it):

1) The fact that this offer doesn't seem to be as good as advertised

2) The fact that the offer is so ridiculously complicated in the first place - just make it simple - explain how much it costs overall and what you get for it (and how much you are saving). When you start adding in membership fees etc it just puts people off anyway.

I have been twining about this for years. I wanted one of the 'exiles' tickets years ago. It included free parking, programme, paddock ticket and something else. I wanted to buy 2 so the free parking and programme were meaningless. It didn't work out as a saving.
I have never understood why the club have to wrap this up with one off payments/extras. I only ever wanted a 6 or 10 game pass so I didn't have to queue for a ticket and that was a quid or so cheaper than the buy before the day price. But no - they've never got it right and I've never bought one of the ridiculous bloody things.

I considered this 6 game 'offer' and then I worked it out and realised it wasn't worth it. If there wasn't the £20 membership thing to pay I Probalay would of done it. ANOTHER missed opportunity by Carlisle United

Reading the club's article if your standing it should be 64 + 20 = £84 or £14 a game and for a seat 82 + 20 = £102 or £17 a game.
My guess is they've charged you for a seat and not standing then charged £2 credit card fee for each one?

Maybe this is the sort of thing that CUSG should be discussing and taking to Phil King assuming he isnt already at the meeting. Make things bloody easy and maybe people will buy the product. Make a set price advertise the set price and sell it for the set price. Whats hard about that?.

Aye bang on, I think it was a team card (remember them?) which was chucked in as well. I looked at getting one but quickly realised that for folk who get the train and only sometimes buy a programme it worked out to be more expensive than buying tickets in advance. One of the clubs regular habits is to package an offer up with a load of stuff folks don't want and present it as a good deal. This is exactly the sort of issue which needs to be raised in CUSG meetings and exactly why as many supporters groups as possible should get involved!

I have absolutely no intention of saying I'd changed my mind I want them to honour what they have advertised misleading or not, they have since offered to refund the £40 (£20 per person) as a one-off gesture of goodwill however I just wanted to alert others who were considering taking up this "non-offer"for the remaining games!!
