Just seen the other fixtures tonight, fourth playing fifth and sixth playing seventh which means a win for us would see us gaining ground on at least two of them. I think we've got to go for the win - go all out to get a goal early door and be a bit more solid in defence than vs Northampton and we could be level with the play-offs with a game in hand by the end of the night (provided Wimbledon lose away at Bristol Rovers). Even better - the remaining game in hand is at BP against Hartlepool which we'll be heavy favourites for, its a little way off yet but having that as our only remaining game in hand should give us some confidence that we can force our way into the play-offs at some stage.

Why hasn't Archibald-Henville had games this season - he can't be any worse than the defence we have?

Gilliead, Mcqueen and Hery dropped. surely because of the amount of tackles they pulled out of on saturday. need battlers when the quality isnt there not people who go hiding.

I read the formation and thought 5-3-2 for some reason with Miller,Raynes,Ellis,Atkinson,Grainger at the back. It's been screaming to go back to that formation for months.

Still seems to have tightened them up at the back. Dont think they've enough going forward to stay up mind.

Poor poor result, drawing against a team that's only picked up 24 points all season. 3 wins in last 14 says it all really.

It's going to end up a massive 7 team battle for one playoff place. No one can nail it despite other teams dropping points left right and centre.

Accrington and Wycombe play each other next Weds which will just leave ourselves with a game in hand, they've soon disappeared!

We've blown it - think we will end up 10th - 14th. If we can't score against the worst team in the football league we have no chance of putting a late run together for the playoffs. Im expecting another defeat away at Exeter.

Very frustrating to say the least. They were perhaps the worst team I've seen for 2 seasons. We looked tired and devoid of ideas.
The mood at the end was edgy to say the least Curle walked straight off and never acknowledged the fans. The fans shared his frustration and didn't acknowledge him or the players - apart from a dozen or so happy clappers..
In my opinion he expected more from Dagenham, he mentioned before the game they would put balls in our box and attack us. None of that happened, yet he didn't make changes to make a real effort to win the game.
We farted about for more than 3/4 of the game with the totally inept Hope and the mostly anonymous Grainger as our only potential threat to feed the toiling front 2. Making changes at 75-odd minutes was way too late IMO.

The top and bottom of it is we are not good enough for the play offs. The tank is almost empty and there is nothing left to put in it.

There can't be any perhaps about it, Dagenham were awful, not even National League level. Wyke played like he was still concussed and I'm normally a fan of his. Two points thrown away.

Or, as Lummy keeps saying, crap league and we are better off after tonights result than before.

When you've a player like Luke Joyce starting week in, week out it really doesn't hold a lot of hope and getting onto the player hope he is another bad signing, God only knows what teams think when they see players off them calibre on the team sheet.

Awful performance. Hope looked lively but was pulled all over the place and got no protection from the ref. Asamoah had the best chance and was unlucky his curling shot was a foot wide. Kennedy looked knackered and Miller looked very rusty.

Curle needs to find a striker or the season really is over.

Chickens coming home to roost.. lack of investment in players in jan when all chances were there to kick on for the play offs..instead we get rid of our most creative midfielder for nothing .....theres ambition for you

We've been playing poorly for a few weeks, but hope has to still remain for me. We know we can play better than we have been, we have still managed 4 points against Accrington recently, we were apparently a bit unlucky against Wimbledon and we drew against Orient.
Not making excuses, but it's not as if we've been getting thrashed every week, so if we are now 2 points off the last play-off spot, you can't really say it's impossible that we won't hit a better patch of form.

Something Curl said at the Ex Servicemens Club a couple of weeks back is that the club went from playing players too much - to paying £600 - £700 a week. This is why we have average 4th division players!
