Gillespie 7 - didn't do much wrong, couple of saves but rarely tested
Miller 6 - did ok but a couple of misplaced passes in the second half
Atkinson 6 - as Miller he did OK but the 1st half when he turned and took two players out the game but then his cross was over everyone was typical
Raynes 6 - defended when needed but nothing spectacular
Ellis 6 - as Raynes
Hope 4 - not good enough tonight, poor distribution and looks short on confidence
Kennedy 6 - tried but a game where we need some control in midfield does not suit him
Joyce 5 - if Hope lacks confidence then Joyce is bereft of it, he should be capable of running a match like tonight from the base of midfield but his passing is woeful
Grainger 7 - the only moments of quality seemed to come from him but is lacking sharpness so his contribution is intermittent. His shot with his swinger in the second half was one of our better attempts.
Wyke 5 - I'd really like to give him more but he needs to put chances away, worked well in some of his link up play
Ibehre 5 - works well but he is playing like the player we all thought we had signed, someone who is a focal point but not a goal threat. Should have done better in the first half with one chance.

Curle 5 - left it too late to make changes and even then kept Hope and Joyce on the pitch

If hope is short on confidence, and Joyce is bereft of confidence then how did Joyce score higher than hope?

Hope was poorer in my eyes due to his lack of all round contribution and particularly his lack of strength in the challenge. Both struggled when on the ball but at least Joyce made some contribution in breaking up the Dagenham play.

Last night we looked like a hit and hope long ball team full of division two journeymen. I'd give them all 5s apart from Gillespie who gets a 6 for the save at the start of the second half that ultimately got us a point, he'd have a 7 if he wasn't like a rabbit in headlights on high crosses.

Hope has plenty of pace but his final ball, like others, was shocking although Jabo almost won it from one of Hope's crosses near the end.

While we had plenty of chances, these tailed off in the last 30 with tired legs. It was crying out for change.

Kennedy looked knackered; Hery should've been on for him and Gilliead and Degsy sooner too.

We looked more of a threat with Raynesie up front. Curle should have gone three at the back and pushed him up top for the last 15 mins. Doing so, might have nicked us all 3 points. Holloway got Blackpool into the play offs by taking risks like that. Instead of drawing, you might win a couple and lose a couple but those extra few points could be the difference between 7th and 11th.

Come on KC take a punt if we're still in the game at Exeter with 15 mins to go.

I wasn't there last night, and the commentary in added time on Hope falling to the floor I can't defend. Saying that, he's one player I really do believe in. He's got explosive pace and the ability to beat a man, I prefer him to the low on confidence Gilliead and the increasingly greedy Asamoah. When he gets the ball on halfway as he's on the turn and at the fullback sharpish which is something fresh. He's one player I really think can come good. On the other hand, GingerBalls Jnr. can't stand him. A game of opinions eh?

We have a very average team and will end up with mid table finish this season. KC needs to have a clear out and try and sign some decent players for next season although this will always be difficult for a team like Carlisle with our geography and resources

I went, awful game.

Seen it a lot this season where we play a poor team who hoof ball it and we resort to the same tactic and it doesn't work, should play our own game.

What was with the hopeless heading, not looking where it's going happened numerous times by Ellis mainly but others.

Hope was crap last night as was grainger.

Ha ha. Ginger balls senior is not to keen either!
He is so frustrating at times, have seen odd flashes of skill and he does try - my mind is not totally made up on him. Last night he was like a headless chicken though, if he could just add some composure to his game...

Some good comments on here, nobody too wide of the mark in my opinion.

We played a couple of decent cross-field diagonal balls early on - I think it was Atkinson who hit a great raking ball straight to the path of either Wyke or Hope on the right wing......and then the team seemed to become obsessed with using the same tactic over and over again even if there were better options elsewhere. But that's Curle for you; Plan A followed by Plan A and then Plan A as a 3rd option if neither of them work. :)

I was also going to add when did we become so sh*te up top that we can't run the back line (curved runs etc.) without being caught offside every 2nd attack? It was like a bloody pub team, even set pieces were getting flagged.
If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off

Listening to the radio last night you'd have thought Hope was man of the Match. He's so right-footed would it be too much common sense to try him on the right or at the very least when Gilliead starts over there swap sides for a bit?

I wasn't there, but didn't Hope play on the right last night? He seemed to be on the right a lot in the highlights.

He probably did thinking about it,it'll be the first time though. It's been crying out for three at the back for months TBH but all we get is hoofball.

I'd like to see Hope played down the middle. He's got plenty of pace, and likes running direct at players - his biggest problem is he's so greedy and rarely passes. Not as much of a problem if he's bearing down on goal.
