Lee Novak - 15 goals in league 1 for Chesterfield this season. I reckon most of league 1 will be interested in him. Would be a cracking signing but not much chance of him coming here imo.

Likewise Dobbie, there's bound to be league 1 clubs queing up to sign him. Location might play in our favour though.

It's not often this is said but our location might work in our favour should we be interested in either Novak or Dobbie

I think Dobbie's about finished and doubt Novak will be dropping to League Two

But I plainly remember we let Paddy Madden, a striker bought for 100,000 euros, when we were a mid-table league one club, go to yeovil permanently for the price of a new kitchen and a money off voucher for bulmers cider, and he got them promoted to the championship. So what's the price for Hope? 20 grand? Maybe 50?

Either Curle has no pot of money from the board, or our board are shit at negotiating. Or both. Let's not rule out both. In fact, let's make it the most obvious choice.

Adam McGurk, Kal Naismith and Matt Tubb Transfer listed by Portsmouth.

Mcgurk would be a hell of a signing. The type of player we need and was quality for Burton as they got promoted from this league.

McGurk was their best player bar none and I was surprised they let him go unless it was for a decent fee (can't remember). I'd take all three TBH.

BLACKBURN Rovers have announced their retained list.

Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood, defenders Tommy Spurr and Matt Kilgallon, midfielders Lee Williamson and Chris Taylor, and strikers Simeon Jackson, Chris Brown and Nathan Delfouneso will be free to talk to and sign for other clubs at the expiration of their contracts on June 30.

However several players have been informed that final decisions over their futures will be made once a new manager has been appointed.

Of the out-of-contract players aged under 24, Jack Doyle and Connor Thomson have both agreed additional one-year deals, while scholars Josh Askew, Ramirez Howarth and Lewis Travis have also agreed to sign professional terms.

Stuart Callaway, David Carson, Modou Cham, Ryan Crump, Anton Forrester, Devarn Green, Sam Joel, Sam Lavelle, Jan Pirretas, Jordan Preston, Hyuga Tanner and Luke Wall will be released.

The club said: “Rovers would like to place on record their thanks to each player for their hard work and dedication during their time at Ewood Park and wish them all the best for the future.”

Connor Thomson - We let him go Blackburn mid-YTS, he's now signing a second years pro deal...

Marvin Sordell would be an excellent signing. not got a great record in the last few years but plenty of potential.
