Anyone know if this is the same lot who tarmaced the car park for Story after the first floods ?

And before anyone says it yes i believe they were the ones who did a lot of work outside the ground before the Everton game

But yes youre right i.ve said for years we should exploit the Sellafield thing i.m sure that Nu Gen who are gonna build the nuclear power station will be in need of some good publicity pretty soon or did they think of that lot who are doing the power lines or even say Direct rail now theyre getting more involved in passenger operations.or even Stobbarts again since they split in two and have the flights starting a year from now and are now totally Cumbrian owned.

To be fair cufclee I can see your point, all I will say is that Shaun is very much the boss and just trying to do well for his family, but yeah I see what you are saying.

But we all have a shady past.........I used to impersonate a centre midfielder for a while by pointing and lumping it in the corner!!! Got found out though!

Seesaw that's actually not a bad shout, I'm sure we could get some sort of offer going, in fact just say you all have season tickets I'll sort it!

I hope the work force that get sent to do Seesaws drive are all British. He won't make a cuppa for any Eastern Europeans especially if we vote out

Am I one of the few who can't see anything wrong with this. So long as it is the best deal and the most money for the club does it matter where they are from? Surely local sponsorship is better and encouraging that they want to get involved.
Providing they are all decent folk and not idiots (when using social media) then happy days.

Happy to have them, they have been sponsors of the club for a long time. Personally think it's good to have a unique sponsor rather than a national firm that sponsors multiple clubs.

Terrible choice of sponsor. They don't even know what a capital D looks like.

My only issue is the amount the fee for sponsorship has dropped since the Stobart days. I think we are still paying for how far we dropped when Kav was in charge.

Bad PR for Stobarts being associated with them

One strange thing I found about the stobart sponsorship was that it ended after 19 years. With a 20 year anniversary in the offing I would have thought they would have gone one more year. Maybe it wasn't their choice. I bet if Virgin had offered £10 more than would have been enough to turn the heads of the board. I suppose we will never know.

But yes youre right the direction the club was going in at the time had a lot to do with it but then again so did the effects of Stobbarts effectively splitting in two.

Club owes owner a lot of money, he refuses to leave until he's paid back. Hardly a major revelation in football terms that would put off sponsors is it.
