TOPIC: Interview with Nixon next week

On Thurday 2nd June. Don't wait for an opportunity to ring on the day and ask a question live. You can't. I wonder if JN will be setting the questioning agenda, or will be allowed to choose which he'll answer? I wouldn't be at all surprised.

I've sent the following email to BBCRC. I'll let you know what they say:

"Before I consider whether to submit a question, can you please let me know if Mr Nixon has set any preconditions regarding subjects and/or questions from the public or Mr Zeller, and also if Mr Nixon is to be allowed to choose which questions he will be asked from those submitted, or whether this is to be left completely in the hands of your editorial staff and Mr Zeller."

What's the point of getting the Head of External Affairs on the radio?

On the other hand have a lynch mob ready for him to ask questions outside the radio cumbria entrance door..

Read this and thought bet it gets announced late Wednesday to try to alleviate any pressure on Nixon for Thu morning. An attempt to try and give him something to change the topic. It makes me sad that these three have made me cynical

we all know he isn't going to answer any question we want the answer to, so the whole exercise is a complete waste of time. the best thing to happen would be that not one single question is forwarded to the radio station or club for this sham of an interview and lets see what utter crap he mumbles about for the hour.

In the spirit of the new transparency ( ha) that KC wants the club/board/owners to embrace ...there's absolutely no point in him side stepping "difficult " questions or the hole just gets bigger.

I think that the only question that needs an answer is about the Billionaire.I would not expect him to name the person but Radio Cumbria must not do the interview if nothing is going to be discussed regarding the Billionaire.The first thing that JN should be able to confirm is that this is not hot air!! He should be able to give personal guarantees {verbal] that discussions have been and are still taking place. He should also be able to give an ETA [estimated time of arrival or non arrival.
I would urge all supporters to contact RC to make sure the subject is going to be discussed.

After the way the three knobheeds have conducted themselves in recent months, I wouldn't trust them to tell me the time of day honestly.

My guess is there are agents who go to clubs touting themselves saying they can find a big investor.. for a large fee. From here, the club say yes we are keen if you can (these agents are probably giving the same story to dozens of clubs) and then the agents approach businesses and wealthy individuals who have shown an interest in football around the world. This would explain the talks only with an agent and this constant insistence on a bloody confidentiality agreements.
There will be agents and there will be wealthy folk out there saying they might be slightly interested in a club as a hobby but there bugger all chance of them wanting to come to Carlisle to pay off an old man's debts.

This is my view BP too-we had enquiries from agents at Motherwell on a regular basis-usually Italian,always with no money.

Reet. I've spoken to a lass at BBCRC who made enquiries. She said that the interview WILL be live, and that JN won't be allowed control of the questions. So, no good leaving them on the boards, wade in on the contacts above.

It can't be beyond the wit of Mr Zeller to stick his head around the door of the BBCRC sports section and get some advice. Although many of you will not agree I do think the BOD want and quite rightly so to find the next investor that has loads of money.I have nothing against Laffy or others who are more than admiral in their willingness to help but the real facts are that if you want a Carlisle United who are going to GO GO GO you have to have mega money behind it.
The answer is simple you have to have a big big money person or consortieum suppling the finance. You definitely need an input of at least £10M upwards.That is the kind of money required to just go forward with no guarantee of success.

I am probably the only one, but I am deliberately going to ignore the show - And I normally listen to Mike Zeller as I am driving.
I couldnt handle listening to Nixon skirting around questions and answering the planted ones.
I think my head would explode.

Musher you must listen in and take note of what is being said.I think something will be revealed because RC would not be doing the interview .The BBC are no fools when it comes to broadcasting. I do not know what that may be but the Billionaire question has to be answered and I am sure RC know that as does J/N.
Only good news for supporters will come from this interview I am certain.

The truth and Nixon are poles apart.
The only good news for the supporters would be Nixon resigning and leaving the country and taking t'other pair with him. But regretably that will not happen.

Not sure why they are interviewing someone who's focus is purely on external affairs and would therefore not know anything about the internal day to day running of the club ?
