Surely he could have a crack at league 2, would be a great signing for Gateshead. Seen some Bolton fans wanting him back as they feel he was better than Madine.

“Shola wants to play further up the pyramid and is hoping another League club comes in for him.

“He is currently working on his UEFA A coaching badge and if he gets an offer from a Football League club then he’ll not be returning to Tyneside.

“If nothing is forthcoming then we may have a chance of bringing him to Gateshead, and we’ve asked to be kept in the loop.”

Aye maybe one for us to be looking at and talking of Fleetwod i notice that Jamile Matts move to Plymouth might well have hit difficulties and could be just what we.re looking for.

Not actually making this up, but I have heard Ameobi is sensational in training, but can never actually do it in matches where it matters. Newcastle have signed many a foreigner, who sees Ameobi in training and are blown away at how good he is... Just can't do it in a game! Explains why Newcastle held on to him for so long...

You're spot on there Mike.

Saw a feature on him on TV a good few years ago and he was alomost unplayable in training and in youth/reserve games but couldn't transfer that to first team games. Very strange!

Think Ameobi has never managed to shrug off the Clumsy gangly youth tag that he was when he first came onto the scene with Newcastle.
