If you could get his name right that would have been good too!

Probably my favourite ever CUFC player (after Halpin), that goal against the poker faced jokers from Roker will live long in the memory.

Quashes the thinking that Curle got rid of the old youth team to bring in his mates as well.

I'd go for someone with a bit more experience/proven track record in developing youth over a fans favourite personally
all views my own

Noting to do with the lack of youth lads coming through in last 2 years? (last and next) Hammel given a token deal really.

This'll be the same Darren Edmondson that never gave reserves/youth a chance at Workington, instead signing journeymen ex pro's that he knew from his previous clubs.

Probably describes 75% of Managers in the professional game. In fact Harry Redknapp & Neil Warnock made a career out of doing it.

He's a nice enough bloke lives local and has the blues at Heart so will be a good choice given his experience in football albeit at non league level

My guess is that he's thinking when Curle leaves (whether that's through sacking or moving to another club) he'll be the obvious choice as temp manager for 2/3 games while they consider the next manager, by which time he'll get a few games to stake his claim

Having said that he's just another bloke who needs a job to provide for his family

I hope he does well he was my favorite player growing up

To be fair, hasn't he also taken on a few of our youth rejects in recent years and given them a good start at Reds?

That would please the people who wanted Curle sacked last summer and replaced by Edmondson. I wonder if they still do.
