The contract lengths are interesting this is another two year one and yet some of the signings have signed one year with an option of a years extension. Does that tell us that two year deal players are more likely to figure in first team or that the players on the one year deals chose it that way. Jabo was a one year with second year option so maybe doesn't have any reflection on who KC values more.

crunchblue Offline Bench Warmer Posts: 1490 Likes received: 465	I think the ones on 2 year deals are players they think can be useful at the level above should we get promoted, but maybe Russell Penn & Reggie Lambe are players they see is as useful at this level but wouldn't make it at the level above. McKee is a 1 year probably because of his lack of experience in english football.

But as someone mentioned on another thread, if you get two CM's out through injury and suspension or whatever, and if you've only got 4 on your books, and with the different loan system, you're down to your dregs.

Depends how you class a midfielder, On ITV they class Alli & Lallana as forwards. For me you need 2 players for every position, that being 4 for the 2 centre midfield/defence places

I think logistics are more likely to be behind it if a player is located somewhere that its not practical to travel daily from and he.ll need to move then theyre much less likely to do that on a one year deal.. Last year Miller only had 12 months and yes he moved but only rented.

Both the Morecambe lads are planning to move to Carlisle with their families but on that theory i.m assuming that Lambe must be based a lot further North than Mansfield.
