Wouldn't surprise me if he'd already signed elsewhere and we hadn't been told about it. I do think he'll stay though, he makes a good backup player to have for a couple of positions.

Backup? He's a better player than Rigg for me, at the moment. Obviously I'm hoping Rigg will develop into a better player.
If Asamoah signed tomorrow and I was asked to name my first 11, it would be Wyke and Asamoah as the 2 forwards as things stand.

Maybe I'm missing something but he looks a very good player to me when he's played in a front 2. He's technically decent for this level, has a bit of pace, quick on the turn, quite strong for his size.

With a full pre season under his belt to get him fully fit i think he could be a handful for teams in this league.

I have to agree that I think Asamoah is a good player for us. He's impactful , He gives us something to play off, I'm hoping he signs and gets a good pre season under his belt

Come on are we serious? My legs will last longer than his.
He may have all the attributes mentioned above but the ability to stay a game he hasn't. Use as an impact player maybe but first choice no.

The Burton game? By all accounts he was terrific and ended up playing left back for a large part of the second half. I'm glad he is set to sign because he offers something different from what we already have in Rigg, Wyke and Ibehre.

Actually he could look fantastic playing beside a player who can actually hold the ball up and make a bit of space, or win headers into areas he can run into, especially when a game starts to get stretched. He is very fast, his first 5 yards are excellent. I think Ibehre could bring the best out of Wyke, Asamoah and Rigg. If the midfield is as good as I think it is, and if we can put a stopper on the numbers we concede (as Curle says) I think we have the makings of a very good football team here.

I thought he was magnificent v Burton. He has the ability to sniff out a goal, nearly always in the right place in a crowded box and he's different to anything else we have, I'm pleased we have him back.
