Should this not be in the CUFC Talk section? Deano - further evidence that we don't need separate sub-groups!

How did you manage to learn about the potential owner/investor while only walking your dog!?

Why is this evidence we don't need sub-groups? When people select 'New Topic' they need to ensure that they're putting it in the right category. Even if the 3 sub-forums are merged, the Help/Support sub forum will remain, because I don't think people necessarily want technical/site issues clogging up the forum (correct me if I'm wrong). It just needs a little getting used to - as 'sirjimmyglass' said in the voting topic, I think the 'Latest Topics' solution I provided was a good enough compromise to allow both sets of people chance to browse the forum the way they wanted to.

I would be able to adjust the links at the top making it easier to view the 'merged' forum as well.

Right then, how many UK diesel transporters are multi billionaires? I wouldn't have thought there'd be all that many, so we may well get an insight to his identity now.

It's not as up to date as the individual sub-forums though. Click on CUFC Talk and note the most recent posts, then go to Recent Topics... it's currently taking a while to catch up.

I call bs. Hasn't it come pretty much directly from the board that it's an overseas investor?

Wtf am I saying anyway? There is no investor.

Didn't the billionaire and foreign aspects come from one source - one of those who were part of Lapping's plan - and, therefore, may be as reliable as some of the stuff on here?

Northampton Town are set to be taken over by an Indian consortium.

Current chairman David Cardoza has agreed to sell his controlling share and has stated that he has signed a 'heads of terms agreement'. The consortium is still unknown to the fans and general public.

The deal would see the consortium take control of the football club, as well as 100 per cent of the company that owns the lease on the land to be redeveloped surrounding Sixfields.

Cardoza had been tight lipped about any takeover

Talking about the takeover, Cardoza said: “I would like to apologise that we haven’t been able to say as much as we or the supporters would have liked recently.

“But clearly a lot has been going on and that has made it very difficult to update supporters.

(Quote from VAVEL the international sports newspaper.)

Pacirv it would seem that the Northampton fans were treated to the same wall of silence that we are currently and even after a heads of terms had been signed they still weren't informed. They care not one jot about us living in their ivory towers.

Are you going to merge into one forum Deano? I'm not loving the 3 separate area's... and to be honest I hardly ever view the other 2... I used to enjoy getting involved in off topic threads... but I'm not going to click there all the time to check it out. I would have though 75% voting for one forumn was enough? The latest topic thing doesn't do it for me... just means I will be less activeon here, I'd imagine others within the 75% are the same.

None of those companies are owned by one individual, they are all plc's so it wont be anyone to do with any of those.

Interestingly I was interviewing a guy yesterday. I regularly receive the "you're not from round here" routine where I have to explain where I'm from. The guy explained that his brother in law is in the process of buying a house in the Lakes, he said he had a business transporting petrochemicals from Southampton docks to ICI in Billingham and had just sold it for "hundreds of millions".

When I asked if he was in the process of buying a football club, he came out with a one liner that resulted in him being eliminated from the interview process.

"Who in their right mind would put money in to Carlisle United".
