So we are told the Investor is real. No true until we see fact.
He talks about Potts sale money going towards player recruitment.. he is quoted as saying "there is no major infrastructure investment planned at Brunton Park in the next 12 months, so it's likely all funds from the sale of Brad Potts will end up being spent on playing operation".

So to me this is not anticipating an investment or takeover to me...

Nixon has just confirmed that there is no anonymous investor. That's how I read it.

"there is no major infrastructure investment planned at Brunton Park in the next 12 months" Clear as day.

He really does seem to believe that all the fans are as fucking stupid as he is.

It is becoming more clear that not only is there no investor, they are digging in and putting up the barricades. I wonder if JN realises how much of a TXT he is making of himself when coming up with some of his guarded responses.

If we want change, Direct Action will be required I'm afraid.

I can't see you can read anything into that. Would we have seen "major infrastructure investment at Brunton Park in the next 12 months" even if the Lapping deal had gone ahead on it's original time frame? I doubt it

They don't want do do any work on the ground as they are determined to move to a new Lego stadium, whereas Lapping would prefer to stay at BP.

Considering there is a confidentiality clause I think they answered as much as they could. No fan of them, but they did.

Clearly they though Andrew did not have the money.

Sounds like JN and AJ trying to buy time in the hope that the team get off to a flying start: top seven at end of Sept, they can release a statement saying talks have broken down and hope unrest will have abated. Or talks continue all season and if Keith does a good job the heat will be well and truly off them. Look how long they have strung out blue yonder!

Rubbish!

Is two conversations with the bloke's agent in over 3 weeks good enough? I don't think so. Are vague statements which amount to less than nothing good enough? I have worked with all kinds of businesses over the past 20 odd years, all over the country and I have never come across one of comparable size to the club which is run so pathetically and shambolically. Those two fools are an utter disgrace, and that statement is clearly not the truth.

To pick out 3 of their vague answers here you can in no way say they have answered as much as they could.

Have you encouraged the new investor to seek dialogue with the Trust?
The investor is aware of movements made during the past few months.

Does the club believe the Trust’s vote in March to dilute their shareholding – which they insist only related to the Andrew Lapping plan – should apply in any alternative restructure, and has the club sought legal advice on this position?
Any investment is likely to need share purchase options which will involve dilution of all existing shareholders.

Does the club intend at this stage to proceed with new stadium scheme Project Blue Yonder until and beyond the current lock-out agreement, which we understand to end in October – and when will details be made public?
The club has always looked for ways to either significantly improve the existing stadium or create a new facility. This process will go on.

The thing with all this for me is the role of AJ. To be fair he has bankrolled the club for many years and I thought that given his age his family were keen for the club to no longer rely on his money. Laffy offered a chance for this to occur so why the change if there is no other investor. What hold does Nixon have to be able to get AJ to go along with the plan if there is no investor out there. This is the bit of the whole mess that confuses me why would the family allow AJ to carry on if no investor was out there.

All that said if Nixon told me it was raining I would look out the window to check.
