Seen some ridiculous comments about Billy Paynter today.

He will NOT bite us in the arse by scoring a load of goals next season in the same way wells/madden/Murray did. The people coming out with these comments need to behave.

Maybe his contract was terminated a while ago, or he'd spoken to KC while on holiday to say he wanted it terminating. Either way he clearly wasn't planning on coming back to us regardless of what happened.

Yup, and Hartlepool are back in training Monday. Not exactly a lot of time to get yourself ready for the running and stuff.

Usually players have a holiday then have a couple of weeks getting themselves back into it before pre season starts, but no not Billy. He hops off a plane and goes straight to training.

No wonder he was in poor shape at the start of last season.
