Potts Money, Paynter's wages, cheaper contracts to the new lads

I'd imagine Robson, Amoo and O'Hanlon were all on decent money. Paynter obviously as well as the Potts money.

Kav gave two year contracts out, most of Curle's have been 6 month or a year.

Yeah and we're still paying the price for that now. We have players we simply cannot get rid of.

I remember Nixon saying no players will sign on less than 2yr deals nowadays. Well this summers recruitment has pissed all over that theory.

I think some might start to leave now crunch, if they can get somewhere. Today is the last day of our financial year, lots of footballers contracts run from July. The reality will be hitting some of them that they may not play here, and sitting on their arses for a full season will do them no good in terms of future employment prospects.

We haven't paid a fee for anyone these are all unattached players - Plus we've released god knows how many.

Great to see Curle give out short terms to those that need to prove a point.

Curle has put quite an emphasis on the fact that he's offering highly incentivised contracts, so these signings might actually be costing the club very little.

Fully believe that we need to ship some players out now, mind. There were bad enough problems with player morale last year - we need to cut down the amount of players that we have that aren't getting game time.

I'd much rather have 14 really good quality players than 28 indifferent ones.

Say potts went for 150k plus his wages off the bill. its two unattached players on close to one and a half thousand a week.

my maths here is rough estimate because i havent got a clue what potts will have been on..

Off the wage bill from last year, considering we'll have been paying half of the loan players wages: Paynter, Robson, Potts, Gillies, Thirlwell, O'hanlon, Amoo, Buddle, Young, Corry, Symington, Elliott, Monakana.

Heard it on good authority that Paynter was on 15k a week, which was upped to 20k when he did the shirts for 7's at half time on a couple of occasions.

I seriously hope you are exaggerating, it was bad enough thinking he was on 3k, the fat robbing [censored].

A lot of them have been signed with the 'option to extend' - if that's the clubs option to extend, then common sense prevails.
