I deliberately stayed enrolled when Season Tickets were given Membership, to see what the Season brought.

Posted after the event? So you didn't read the information in the welcome pack?

Statement on 10/10 - cuosc.org.uk/pressreleases.shtml - it's in there too.

Were you at the meeting Deano? Would it have hurt you to let the people that go on this message board a heads up or a reminder seeing as you say they should all know anyways?

If new people are in new roles or moved roles within CUOSC why can't their positions be Tweeted now while saying a full statement will come out later in the week.

Has this been done?

I think I did mention recently that there was a meeting last night, not in it's own topic, just a passing comment. I've had a few personal issues to deal with recently, hence my lack of activity on here over the past few weeks. That should be back to normal now.

They shouldn't make statements they can't meet then. Instead of saying 'This week' merely put 'In due course' then folk won't complain.

They really do open themselves to ridicule when they can't follow up on statements they make.

Agree with you there Dan - crucial when putting times on things that they're actually met. I chased this up myself this morning, and it's going out via the media today.

I'm sure theres a lot of good people working for the trust but I agree with CCU, they do open themselves to ridicule and some just defend their action and it makes them sound silly.

Again going to the N&S; first I presume

Tbh it's hard to criticise the club for being slow at releasing details when the "supporters club" are the same. They may have a lot more members these days but I still sense an inner circle reluctant to share. I don't think Brooks Mileson envisaged this when he donated the funds. Come on tell your members as in theory you are all equal.

It's important, crucial in fact to have defined roles, which have now been put in place. The roles themselves are fairly standard across other Supporters Trusts, and it now means that at the next AGM, when I think there are 4-5 Board Members up for re-election, members can put themselves up for election, with more idea of what is involved.

When I put myself forward for election last Summer, I honestly had very little idea of what was involved, and what would be expected of me. I now have a specific role, and responsibilities, and I can go away and crack on with things.

CUOSC are going to be looking for volunteers to back up these board positions, and it will be a good opportunity for people who want to be more involved to do so, particularly those who think they may be interested in joining the board at the next AGM.

The roles do provide clarity, and accountability from reading the email. Sod knows what they've been doing the previous 15yrs or so, amazed it's taken so long to have firmly defined posts. Possibly a sign there are folk trying to drag them into the present?!

Email was deemed a "Weekly Update" so will expect just that...

I've been pushing for a Weekly Update for a while Dan, so important.

Moorlad, I'll be looking after the Social/Events side of things, which includes coordinating volunteers for a range of CUFC/CUOSC initiatives. Fundraising is a big one for me, CUOSC currently do very little in this area.

So every member of the CUOSC board has been on the board since it's formation.? You might want to check that out, it's not quite right. Why should you help them? Because it's your club, and it's a massive opportunity to have a voice that fans of other clubs don't have the opportunity to do. Why sit in the background and post negative comments when you've the option, should you wish to do so, to get on board and help improve the way CUOSC works. Believe it or not, it's not a clique, I'd never met any of the CUOSC board before I got involved, and I was welcomed aboard. Jason, the other guy who joined back in July also had no links to any of the board members, and again was welcomed on.

I've probably given more to the club than the trust on my own barring a one off payment from Steel, none of this 'seeing to be doing things' would have happened if it wasn't for Lapping giving the trust the kick up the arse it's needed for well over 10 years.

I agree that Lappings proposal probably did give CUOSC a huge kick up the arse, and now its trying to move on. Why not give it a chance? There's a few who are desperate to see CUOSC fail regardless of who tries to help.

Even when the Trust have been actively working against the club and the owners as they were shown to have done time and again?

Despite the fact that the Trust can't afford to have any other representative on the board other than Norman Steel? A man who's done the job for 10 years already and achieved what exactly? When Claire has done more in 6 months as the fans representative than Norman has done in 10 years in, what seems to me, to be pretty much the same role?

I agree that Lappings proposal probably did give CUOSC a huge kick up the arse, and now its trying to move on. Why not give it a chance? There's a few who are desperate to see CUOSC fail regardless of who tries to help.

How many times can you ask for the Trust to be given a chance? It's taken 15 years for the Trust to get this reputation, it might take a bit more than 5 minutes to recover.

I agree Armo, although Ive had my fair share or disagreements with Claire she has done more than Norman ever has.

Sad but i now see Norman as nothing other than a hanger on and free loader, what exactly does he do?

Can we start a vote of no confidence in our representative?

Would love to Mullen but, couple of problems with that.

1) The Trust have 1500 members. 11/1200 of them are ST holders and are apathetic, wouldn't vote and'll be gone next year. That leaves 300 Trust members, take out the 200 or so "family membership" members and friends and that leaves 100 or so who actively vote. So, of those guys who do vote, about 80 will of been in it since the start and think Norman is doing a wonderful job.

2) As soon as Norman is replaced as the Trust's representative on the board then the Trust have to repay his loan. Do you think the Trust have got that sort of money? How much do you think they've actually raised since BMs donation?

Your right again, but it isn't right is it.

Its why i haven't become actively involved, its not a democratic organization. Mike and Jason got in but they haven't a chance of changing much or becoming our main representative.

To be fair, I think they're doing it for the right reasons and with the best of intentions.

These things won't change over night and probably won't until the "old guard" are gone.

I don't even hold up much hope for change after Norman has gone. He'll of done his maximum of 4, 3 year cycles at the end of his current term (even though the Trust have decided to abolish that rule recently). I'm sure he'll just be replaced by someone like Frank Beattie.

That is absolute rubbish. Norman is the CUOSC representative because he was re-elected by the Board. He has the time, commitment, knowledge and experience for the position. I wouldn't want to take on that role. If others do, then stand for election - you might just surprise yourself.

Do members not get to vote who will represent them on the board, will this be done in future
