Curle also said on O/S that another wouldn't go down to the level, suggests Conference or lower? Troy maybe?

Was wondering if the club are trying to sell Gillespie myself,why else would he play Hanford in the cup unless he was told to so Gillespie wouldn't be cup tied.

Maybe as we don't have many reserve or bounce games he feels that Hanford needs to be playing the cup games in order to give hi match practice.

My initial thoughts were Troy not wanting to drop down the leagues and Wyke as the player who has attracted interest.

Not financially acceptable could also be how much percentage of a players wage a club is willing to pay during a loan. so could be any player.

A goalkeeper is a very difficult position to keep competitive. It's not like you ever bring on a keeper as a tactical sub, so unless Hanford comes in to cup games every so often there's very little he can do to put pressure on Gillespie to make sure he knows that in order to keep his place, he needs to be on top of his game.

You also need to keep giving Hanford a sniff at getting a game otherwise he'll leave. Then we've got to get another keeper to come and sit on our bench. Would you want to be a reserve keeper for a League 2 side, knowing that you were never going to get a game?

Only year I can remember when we weren't desperate to offload at least one player. I wonder if it isn't Dicker with us having to cover a proportion of his wages until contract end. He is playing well, no injury issues and wants to go south

Good idea playing your reserve goalie in cup matches, a lot of clubs do it these days to keep them match ready if called upon. Imagine Gillespie getting sent off and Handford coming on having not made a single appearance for 2 years.

Agree with Hanford for cup games, but Gillespie must start at Yeovil. We are better with him on the pitch rather than on the bench

I can think of far worse ways to earn a living than training full time and sitting on my arse watching football on a Saturday. Most of us pay hundreds/thousands of pounds a year to do the latter.
