TOPIC: Do they let folk have their ashes scattered at BP?

Anybody know?

They're not scattered, the groundsman takes out a piece of turf to about a foot deep, the ashes (without the box) are placed in the hole and the turf is put back. I was there when Kidneyblue's ashes were interred there, beside a former winger of ours, though I was never told his name. It's done at the Waterworks end, behind the goal and close to the edge of the grass. The positions are marked for future reference. You'll need to contact the Club Chaplain who will arrange it and say a few suitable words. I found the whole thing extremely touching and appropriate and the Club were very helpful to Kidneyblue's relatives, I understand.

Nice to see him get a new roof this week.

Just as well they are buried rather than scattered, otherwise they would disappear every time they took the top layer off.
