TOPIC: Luke Joyce Ban

Considering it is his second sending off this season for a second yellow card, how many games will he be banned for?

Joyce is banned for 2 games, missing York and then Everton.

Curle still probably put him in ahead of Dicker.

Joyce and Dicker are different players in my opinion. Its a tough one this season with the midfield as there are so many dynamics.

Dicker gives you the aggressive passing (defence splitters), has great vision and rarely loses the ball. He is also excellent at nipping the ball off people.

Kennedy is a threat going forward, times his runs well, is very comfortable on the ball and has a good engine.

Joyce is more a deep lying midfielder, kind of an enforcer putting fires out around the pitch, is athletic and is a lot better on the ball then maybe people give him credit for.

Yes he is my mate but Yeovil he had a nightmare, MOM for me against Barnet, and interesting that JP and Skip Boyd give him MOM on tuesday, before his stupid lunge!!

Its interesting that a lot of ex pros/coaches/scouts that I talk to at the games, always point out that Joyce is pivotal to the team.

I do get though why people are big fans of Dicker and want to see him in, wouldn't it be great to get them all in the team, over to you Keith, rather him than me!

And then you have Sweeney who is a top top pro and never lets anyone down, and can get goals!

If the Liddle deal comes off they may be thinking of him in a defensive role as he as played there a lot.

Dicker was our best player at Liverpool so hopefully he will get in the team against Everton now.

I don't agree that Dicker rarely loses the ball.
When we are playing it out from the back he's been guilty of over playing it in dangerous places and getting caught out more than anyone else.

Edit to add he does nip the ball off people but not so strong in the 50/50 when they are expecting it!
