Just saw this from the club

Our ticket office telephone service is experiencing problems - please call 01228 526 237 to purchase your tickets over the phone #cufc

that's better, after trying all morning got through straight away with the new no - tickets sorted

Easy - 2 minutes on phone, straight through sorted.

That was before the number was published though, thought id try my luck on that number.

That land line is either engaged or just rings out when ive rang. Will keep trying.

I used the landline this morning and bought a York and an Everton Ticket. It took 5 redials and then a couple of minutes wait once I got a ring tone before I was served.

Then rang daughter to tell her and offer to hang on the line this afternoon to get theirs. This time it took 18 redials and around a four minute wait once I got through but managed to buy both York tickets and Everton tickets for them with no problems.

All in all an acceptable experience, have queued a lot longer for concert tickets.

Well worth using the landline option, now they only need to queue to pick up tickets tomorrow, far less hassle.

You must have got very lucky Bumble. I've done dozens of redials most of which give me an engaged tone. It has got through and started ringing about 10 times now and each time it rings for a minute or so and then dies. Very frustrating.

Getting the ringtone then after about 2 minutes a message saying "this number is temporally out of order".

Could not get through yesterday , lines the same today .Just bought the York tickets on line took minutes.Will just take my chance on Sunday on line for the Everton game

It took 4 and half hours but I finally got through after umpteen re-dials. Lass was very pleasant even though I bet her head is done right in. They'll be there until about eight tonight she reckons like last night.

I'd like to see the directors pitch in helping them out but may have to be brought into the 21st century first.

After a long day getting no where with the previously advertised number, spotted this when got home. Have just rang, phone rang for a couple of minutes and then got through and got the most pleasant, friendly and helpful service - the day's queuing angst completely forgotten as a result of positive experience.

Was quite impressed today got through on the fifth dial to waiting queue around 11ish and was done 8 minutes later and most of that was in a queue.

This is comparing it to the League Cup game againist Pool where I spent more on calling the club and getting cut off than I did on the tickets.

Sounds like the usual random process. Got the ring tone loads of times (as well as getting the engaged tone many times more) but it never got in a queue - just rang for a couple of minutes and then went dead.

Just used the 01228 number, dialling tone first time and after a wait of 2-3 minutes answered and tickets sorted. If you need to buy using the phone definately use this number, if it doesnt connect at least its not a premium rate number.

Finally got through this morning just before 10 (having been told at half 9 to ring back later - worth a try!). All sorted in a couple of minutes with 10 tickets bought in total. Good stuff.

Why don't people just use the online option ? Much easier than queuing for hours, or sitting on the end of a phone.

For Everton tickets the success rate for the phone and queueing over the past few days has been far higher than online.

Problem is you can't use flexicard online. With Everton tickets not on sale online yet.

Bit stupid to offer flexicard when you can't use online. Doesn't help those of us who didn't live in Cumbria

What on earth you talking about? I'm not on about queues, the Everton game or anything like that.

I'm asking why the club charge fans a quid to print tickets at home when most company's give customers a discount for doing things online at home themselves

I know but id rather take a hit of one whole pound and not queue for three hours. The club will no doubt have a contract so can't just scrap the charge but I know where your coming from. My analogy above is if you'd pay a quid not to be in those queues to get your ticket just do it online.

Your right though and it's a rip off but in this instance id rather do that.

Rang the 01228 number at the start of this thread. Answered on third ring, got tickets straight away. Happy days
