My brother who is 8 years older than me & took me to my first remembered game vs Celtic in 1967 has been watching Carlisle longer than me
He went to Everton in the cup a few years back, I didn't but not through lack of trying, he doesn't go to home games, but he's a Carlisle fan
There must be hundreds if not thousands of supporters like him or me who come out of the woodwork for big games!!!!!!!!

I didn;t say " standing in my spot". But there was a cash gate today which meant some seats were un allocated or effectively, all seats were un allocated, whichever way you cate to look at it.

TBH this was the usual big game ticketing farce. St 's were ok but other regulars were,as usual, left to rot. It's been the same for 20 odd years!!! No consistency!!!

Simple question to other fans that had attended.

I don’t have a problem on one level about lots more people turning up at Brunton Park. It’s revenue, and I appreciate that.
But I do dislike, personally, the lack of atmosphere these non partisan “supporters” generate. It’s not just the chanting but it’s the detached perspective that many of these in frequent visitors take.

They wai, and ask - Come on entertain us.
If we, us regulars, went for entertainment ever week many of us would have packed in years ago!
But I live in hope that some of those who turn up next week enjoy the occasion and the togetherness and want to come back.

Over the last few years many have given up on attending games however returning to regular attendance begins with one game so why are people slagging off those non regulars who turned up yesterday. If half of them come to the next home game then surely that can only be of benefit to the club. We're a local team for local people.

There was four lads standing behind me in the second half were moaning about Derek, saying why is he doing step overs and whats he doing up front. When Gilhead came on one said to his mates he is ok, he`s on loan from Newcastle he played in the other game I came to against Crawley. They were doing my head in with the sh*te they spoke and their lack of understanding of both tactics and effort.....I am still boiling today lol
