What 3 signings do we need?

One would do me...a proper left sided mid fielder

Depends on the quality and positions. One signing could turn us into promotion contenders if he's of a real high quality. 3 average signings could make zero difference.

It's what quality they are rather than quantity.

Overheard someone in the paddock claiming to be in the know saying we're close to signing someone from Gillingham.

Seems like same old same old for our club unwilling to pay money out bit disappointing with the money made so far this season

I'd hope he's looking to get good players that will improve the squad we've got for as little as possible, and free if possible. Ellis, Raynes, Grainger and Ibhere have probably been the best signings we've made in the past 4 or 5 seasons, and their transfer fees haven't broken the bank. I think Curle is quite astute in the transfer market, and his ideas of getting players in on fairly short incentive based contracts seems to have worked pretty well, he can then extend or finish contracts as he sees fit, it is almost like having them on long term loans.

If he can't get anybody that will improve what he already has, I can't really see any point in firing a load of cash at it.

Thursday is the day signings usually get announced so still a few days to go......may even be friday considering we dont play until sunday.

The fact that he only released one of the fringe players was a good indicator we wouldn't see much coming in
