You may not be able to view the image in the first post if using Tapatalk. The points Claire is raising (alongside the standing agenda) are:

Floods - communication, away travel, reduced facilities e.g hospitality, season ticket holders, CUFC staff & work completed.
Everton - ticketing
Managing Director role at CUFC
Communication around investment

MD Role at CUFC discussed. Holding Company does not see a need for the MD role at present, this may change in the future. AJ lead the discussion and explained that current expertise on the operational board is sufficient to support SK & PK where necessary. CW explained that there is the impression that JN remains in MD role.
• Communication about investment discussed. It was considered by the majority of the board that this was Holding Company business. Communication about this will be given in good time ie when there is news about what is happening rather than news about what is not happening.

And that's us told, i imagine the program notes to be similar.

What's the point in giving us an update on a board meeting that happened nearly a month ago, when almost all of the issues raised are now out of date ?

Well that was worth waiting for. No wonder people think this role is a complete waste of time.

How nice for regulars in matchdays.. you just couldnt make it up the amount of fuckwittery from.the club... its got worse in the last 12 months... no improvement..are they expecting regular sporting inn folk to say ok thats fine.. a good start would be a boycott to any bars.. just pile in the beehive or the magpie saying they have re opened.

That's the idea, cram all the peasants into the same over-crowded and understaffed bar to make way for the one game a season sponsors, tossers.

Same old same old with the club, they annouce the sporting inn will be refurbished, great stuff, then tell you that you can't use it because it is to be for sponsors only. Isn't the bar next door at the top of steps already an underused sponsors lounge?
I remember the Sporting Inn used to be a members only bar around ten years ago, but because no members went in it became relaxed to regulars until it became a public bar and fairly busy one at that.

Is the fans zone going to become a regular feature in the car park?

Folk want to sup inside not in a tent int cold conditions... just sort the pubs out in the ground not some shitty fan zones.

First Club that try it properly here will make a fortune from it...

It's just another example of the gulf between fans and club. There is absolutely no wish to engage or encourage fans to use club facilities.
Go back ten years and the Sporting Inn was heaving, rather than asking fans what they want and working with them, yet more are alienated and will go elsewhere. There seems to be an approach that sponsors are much more important than the "ordinary" fan, despite the fact that many of the regular sponsors are "ordinary" fans first and foremost and are quite likely to be put off from sponsorship if treated as a hinderance when going to a match as a fan.

I didnt realise that Foxys was doing that well that another sponsors lounge is needed. It was no where near full last time i was in there.

Another thing that just appears as if by magic with no consultation or thought for the opinion of the supporters who actually use the place. A ridiculous decision, but that's nothing new.

One day they might learn that a 'supporter' is actually a 'customer'.

Not having a go at Claire, but you would think having appointed a fans rep that the club would use the fans rep to gauge opinion on this with supporters. Maybe it has been done but I haven't seen or heard of anything and can see from opinions on here already that it's not going to be a popular decision.
Yes for the Everton game it was understandable to maximise revenue from the game and other facilities weren't ready but I can't see this been the case for future games when as others have said Foxy's isn't always full.

Phil King must really be making his mark on the sponsorship side if he can afford to piss off the fans whove used the bars for donkeys years. Serious question, has he actually improved our sales and marketing since he was put in post by a lot?

I commented about the airport sponsorship a few week back...i also heard as well off older fans who go in the paddock..the signs are an insult to stobarts the "your airport"part is shit... so im not alone on that view i had.

Newcastle IS, our (nearest useful) airport.

Not when millions are being spent turning carlisle airport into something positive for the city and cumbria as a whole thanks to stobart and andrew tinklers vision....if only we had owners with that kind of vision eh...

I used to work in the bar when it was the executive club. It was always busy then on match day. When that ceased to exist it became a normal bar and seemed to work well up to now.
What's wrong with making the legends bar next door the sponsors bar. ? Driving people away without consultation again. No communication again. How many times do we need to spell it out that that is the biggest problem the club had for a decade!

I don't agree with this advertiser/sponsorship issue at all. Stobart has an airport, Newcastle has an airport. Lloyds sell tractors, Rickerbys sell tractors. It has been noticeable over the last four or five years how the amount of sponsorship/advertising has dropped/disappeared. Sadly it has taken an offer of new investment, new ideas and structure to spark those in charge to actually do something proactive for a change. I still have absolutely no faith that they can take us forward, any success they've had recently has been more good luck than good management. The cold hard fact is we're stuck with them until someone pays Jenkins out, his debt is now the millstone around the clubs neck, big Fred's debt was really only an irrellevance in comparison to the sum owed to Jenkins. Compare the two, Fred refinances someone else's debt, Knighton, Jenkins simply presides over a business decline and props it up out of his own pocket. This to some seems very generous, It's not, he wants it back and that's where him and Fred differ greatly.

Nixon must sit and think of more ways to piss fans off and has come up with this. Just another attempt to drive fans away from the club or at worst make them part with their cash somewhere other than the club itself.
