TOPIC: So, how much did Everton ticket cost you?

Just seen multiple tweets off Carlisle fans I follow discussing their phone bills queuing for Everton tickets, up to £60!

Not good.

They rang for tickets off a mobile phone ?

If so that wasn't very intelligent was it, nobody rings a phone number off a mobile with the slightest possibility of being placed on hold, it is called common sense.

As for us, we rang 3 times, one didn't even ring, one engaged and then connected right through and tickets bought inside 5 minutes

There's been talk on here about how much this costs, I had a day off the day members went on sale, decided it may be cheaper and less frustrating to drive an hour and a half to bp and cue, rather than getting cut off whilst being on hold like so many were.

On a separate note, after all that, was a bit p@ssed off to get to the supporters club before the match to find it had became bookings only. Wouldn't have minded if they'd told us, but hadn't seen or heard anything anywhere

Bluealf - the club are at fault for not publishing call costs.

Bluealf, like it or not, the laws the law and Carlisle should of published details of the call costs.

I did actually mention this at the time of the Liverpool ticketing problems and am kicking myself that I didn't mention it to the club and not just on here. Could of hopefully saved them some pain.

I can understand CUOSC's raison d'etre is to look after the fans but I hope you realise the club will of not made anything like (if at all) the call costs fans paid.

If there was to be an official complaint, it could cost the club a fortune. Hopefully it can be sorted out directly between the club and those fans?

Just to add, I notice they've now added the call costs to their website.

How much of the £60 was numerous 15p connection charges?
Not got my bill yet (or bothered looking!) but I must have been "connected" only to be cut off, after a "we are busy" message, on several occasions.
If these have been charged for I'll be sending copy of the bill straight to CUFC pointing out that it's a charge to be connected, not cut off.

Speaking for myself,it was my only option as I couldn't get down as I was at work and had to ring off my mobile on my breaks as personal calls aren't allowed on work phones. Suppose that's my fault though for not being as smart as you though.

As for being sensible, well what can I say, it isn't rocket science that these new fangled mobile phones cost more to use, a fact pretty well advertised for at least erm 10 years or so.

I phoned Leeds Rhinos last week for tickets off my mobile, sat in a queue for about 5 minutes, got through and bought the tickets and guess what? The call cost me nowt. Why can't CUFC be the same?

The ticket office should always be 01228 ..why the need to have premium numbers anyway. Fans are fleeced enough. Seems ironic when the regular code was given out..people who were previously cut off managed to get through easily..

Why oh why is this club making simple [censored] tasks so difficult on its fans ?????
