Surely very close to being dismissed. After a 3 win start to the season it has been downhill almost all the way.

he has made progress considering their position last season, and he has got Paynter scoring. Luke James must be low on confidence after his unsuccessful spell with parent club Peterborough. if he can get him scoring too.......he might stay a little longer than expected.

im sure glad the 3 horseman did not give the job to him considering our progress (only thing they have managed to get right)......lets just hope they dont make a mug out of Curle with his contract.

To be fair, like us, Hartlepool have 2-5 games in hand on the teams around them.

Trouble is, unlike us, they're at the end of the table where teams don't win games that often.

Quite a lot of our fans were wishing we'd got Moore instead of Curle, particularly towards the end of the season and when we handed them a point on the last day.

Glad we didn't.

on current form they will be lucky to get 40 points. Surely Dagenham or York can muster something more !?!

Before tonight's games, the form of every club over their last 10 league games would have this as final table

He's obviously a good motivator but mustn't have much in the way of tactical knowledge at all otherwise he'd be at a better team. He'll get sacked again soon and will probably go on to save another team from relegation before being quickly sacked again when he flops.

Craig Hignett's odds have dropped to 1/10.

I think this would be a risky appointment in Pools' position.

As much as I find it quite funny watching them struggle, I don't want them to go down. Need as many northern teams in the football league as possible.

Not that I'd ever want him as CUFC manager, when you look at Moore's previous record he's achieved a fair bit more than Curle ever has as manager.

Maybe because he's 11 years older than Keith.

Maybe because he's 11 years older than Keith.

And by the time he was Curle's age, he'd won two successive promotions with Rotherham and kept them in the Championship for four seasons.

Really? Inexperienced, no transfer window, loans can be iffy and how many contacts apart from karanka does he have?
He's inherited the squad Moore left, where's that got them exactly?

do you know much about Hignett and Hartlepool, Chopper?

Hignett was assistant to Cooper 2013 - 2014. during that time Hartlepool had there most successful period in league 2.......it was only after Hignett left to go to Middlesbrough that Hartlepool started the decline. as we know Cooper couldnt motivate them to avoid such poor form. I think Hignett is a good apointment and I'm expecting and upturn in form and Cooper to return as assistant?!?!

One of the most embarrassing days in the History of the club was the shan of announcing a different Managers name in the press conference when McDonald was appointed Live on the Radio no less and infront of TV Cameras. (How to make yourself look a bumbling fool in one fell swoop).

Someone better tell Jenkins who really got the job as he probably hasn't figured it out yet.
