However I don't recall many on here complaining about the Kavanagh appointment at the time
Errr, Kav was the cheap option and I *do* remember plenty of people complaining about it at the time. I certainly did.
He backed Abbott with a generous playing budget
So, you feel he deserves credit for squandering money which has put us and him in the situation where he's had to put money in to cover this bad judgement?
He paid for Kavanagh to bring in umpteen loan signings and legends like Gary Dicker (to some on here!)
Again, you want to give him credit for what was obviously a poor decision?
He took swift action last season to remove Kavanagh
Really? Really? GKs job was to keep us up, he failed. AJ and JN rewarded that failure with all of pre-season, a load of players and the start of last season. The board took anything but swift action.
Curle might prove to be an inspired managerial choice
A stopped clock is always right twice. I would say less inspired and more luck. One good manager in three is not inspired.
He bankrolled Curle to keep us in the league
That's what AJ's role is, he bank rolled another two manager which has left us stuck with him.
He has backed the team with overnight stays to avoid long hauls
Phil King's marketing progress
Words fail me. Phil King's appointment has nothing to do with AJ or the rest of the board. That was down to one man and one man alone. Unless you feel AJ deserves credit for dragging Lapping's name through the mud and then stealing his ideas and passing them off as their own?
Swift flood recovery
Because of or despite?
All directors at clubs will make mistakes - all of us would have made mistakes - but would we have put in 2 million quid to help put them right?! That's why I respect him Football is all about ups and downs, it's part of the fun. Maybe we are heading back towards the top end of league one?
Why not relax, enjoy the ride (bumpy) and put away the voodoo dolls!
Nope, sorry, can't do that.
Both my wife and I are season ticket holders. Have been for the last 6 years, that's despite living 135 miles away. It's a 270 mile round trip and 4 hours for us to go to BP.
We've happily paid for STs despite knowing that neither of our jobs would allow us to go to all the games.
Knowing that every year there's a promotion that makes that "three game saving" not even that. I don't really class £5 off a shirt at the end of the season when already owning the shirt any sort of recompense.
On top of that, we've also had a car park ST despite knowing it's a pain in the arse. If we parked at the Lakeland Gate or Riverside then it'd save at least a good 15 mins off our journey home. We happily paid for the club parking as we know the money went to the club.
We've done all we can in our little way to help support the club.
This season though, this season, the actions of AJ and JN are the straw that's broke the camels back. I've had enough.
I've listened to the board of my club. I've listened to what they've had to say. They've told me, if I don't like it then piss off and don't come back.
OK, I will.
I'll pick my games next season. I won't bother with the parking and just park at the Lakeland Gate for nowt.
I'll listen on the radio on a Tuesday.
I've had my fill of the pair of them.
