I beg to differ there I think he'd have been a good signing. But you can't compete with the likes of Rochdale.

You could be right Nobby but if Curle didnt try to sign them then theres no way Urban Designer can complain that we cant compete for wages with Rochdale. We did after all match Liddles wage demands but he chose to sign for Chesterfield instead.

Unfortunately Holt's best chance of playing for Carlisle was years ago when we signed Dobie instead, had we signed Holt then we would have probably gone up.

It would have been great to see him play for the club but now isn't the right time. If KC signs a forward it should be someone who has pace and a few tricks not a powerful big man we those already. What the team needs now is pace, a couple of wingers is what we need now. Gutted it never worked out for Holt with Carlisle but thats more to blame for poor cufc decisions in the past than anything else. Good luck to Holty at Dale.
