The cancer in the banking industry rolls on I'm afraid.....
I see it first hand. I have a client who was miss-sold an interest rate swap deal on a loan years ago, his appeal has been with the bank for over 3 years, they have stolen in excess of half a million pounds from him, have admitted to the miss-selling but say they won't pay him back in full because if they hadn't have miss-sold him that one, they'd have miss-sold him a cheaper one and they are only prepared to refund the difference (about £150,000). He is taking it to court, and that will be late this year, they are very likely to lose, but meanwhile I think they're hoping he goes out of business.
That is by no means an isolated case.
