Surely season defining.

Wins against Orient and Northampton at home would really set down a marker.

This is where KC and staff prove their worth.

Win v Orient and draw v Northampton I'll be happy with.

It's the 2 games in hand we've got that are gonna be absolutely crucial, away at Dagenham and home to Hartlepool

I do feel there is a good team in there, just waiting to really click and give someone a good hiding, lets hope it's this coming week.

We need to one win to give us a reasonable chance two losses and its not over but it will be pretty hard, two wins and we would have a very strong chance but as for us not clicking of late is to me it the obvious factor is missing Danny Grainger, we give credit to Wyke and Ibehre but Danny Grainger has been our main creator of chances, Lets be honest i think some people expectations of league 2 on here are way to high, if people think we can't challenge for the play-offs because of how badly we play just look at Acrrington they weren't exactly impressive when we played them and look where they are in the league.

Totally agree about DG, can't understand your point about accrington.

I'd quite happily take one win out of the two games if offered that now. It'd be typical of us to put in a horrific performance against Orient and somehow win, then dominate against Northampton and lose.

We have missed DG for his crosses and his leadership. As for Accrington? they are where they are because they've got the points, the table doesn't lie. I agree, they weren't that good, but, It's a results business and they've got the results to get them where they are.

Form in last 6 games -
Won 3 Drew 1 Lost 2
Not bad with 4 of those games away.
If we maintained that ratio we would get in the play-offs.
We can afford several defeats as long as we don't draw too many.
Would take 3 points from those two games and think the pressure is off a bit after winning yesterday.

Bugger me, was only Thursday we had 5 games to decide where our season is going. Now we have two games?

Because it means taking points off a club that is battling for the same thing?

This is now the business end of the season where managers earn their corn. Not a great performance yesterday but a change in shape and substitutions and we go home with 3 points.

We have a top 12 ream, it's now up to Curle and his staff to squeeze the percentages in terms of preparation, rest, know how, tactics, motivation and team rotation which will be the difference between play offs and mid table plus a bit of luck either way with injuries and suspensions.

Let's surprise the opposition and get it down and play again rather than shelling it, particularly at home where the pitch can't be used as an excuse for going route 1.

Having said that, if long ball gets us in the playoffs I'd take it like!!!!.......don't think it's a coincidence though that Jabs goals have dried up since we started hitting him from 50 yards. When we try and hit him from 20 in and around the box he is a completely different threat.

I never said they were must win games, the point I was making is if we beat Leyton Orient, who have had a bit of a resurgance under Nolan and Northampton, who haven't
lost for God knows how long it would make people sit up and take notice and give us a massive boost in confidence going into the last part of the season.

re: Northampton

I don't know how we'll be able to give a team that play in an away kit that according to the Dulux colour chart can only be described as 'Shocking Pink' too much respect but we should try and get in their faces from the first minute. Let's remember that it finished Northampton Town 1 Dagenham & Redbridge 2 earlier in L2 this season, they're not effing Barcelona.
If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off

I said to the lads I go with that our two game double with Accrington would decide the final play off place.

Looks like my prediction could be shat all over if they carry on..

We lost at Northampton but our cause wasn't helped because Gary Dicker wasn't up for it.

If Hartlepool can draw at home with Northampton, surely we can smash them 5 nil.

I was at the Northampton game on Saturday. They play with 11 players behind the ball, punt it into the corners then the wingers who are very quick belt after it. Our full backs are in for a torrid time and that worries me. Their defence is good, best player was Prosser who came on as a sub but looked really good. Sitting just in front of the defence is a Cattermole type called Taylor, slow as hell but good positioning and strong. The silver lining is their strike force. Marquis and Collins played on Saturday and they were garbage. Marquis was booed off by their fans and he played like Richard Sendall. Collins wasn't much better. So hopefully Jabo will be able to boss Zander Diamond who was garbage when he was at Aberdeen and Ellis should hold the middle, think we can get a 1 0 here.

Holmes has been Northampton's best player according to (very biased) local radio. Speedy winger and scoring goals
