Would normally see it as 2 points lost after taking the lead but this could of gone massively tits up when they got a second. An ok point all in all

We need to find that killer goal when we are on top in matches, if we are to have a chance of promotion.
Don't know whether the blame lies with the forwards or our lack of service to them.

Good game.

They showed that they are a good team but we matched them and were good value for the point. Had Wyke put us 2-0 up I think we would have gone on to win comfortably.

People were criticising Curle for playing Gilliead behind the front 2. I thought it worked at Morecambe second half and it worked tonight. The only criticism I have of Curle is for bringing Rigg on for Wyke instead of Asamoah. Derek is streets ahead of Rigg in just about every department. I liked Rigg last season but I think we've moved on and I don't think he's good enough for a top half league 2 team unfortunately.

Great point, could have easily let the heads drop against a strong Orient team, but we have plenty of fighting spirit and to until the end. Could have lost it right at the end though.

Should have made it 2-0 seconds before they went down the other end and levelled it up.

Bring on Northampton!

Their two subs at half time changed the game. The big number 9 Palmer occupied the centre halves giving Simpson more space than he had first half.
Thought Hope was good tonight. If I was him I'd be frustrated though,he must have made 6/7 great runs in behind but we didn't have the midfielder to play the ball to him.

"Don't think Rigg is good enough for a top
Half league 2 side" are you on drugs? Suppose you'll say hope and gilhespey are though?

Gillesphey did well tonight I thought. Hope, can't work out if he's any good or not always wants a few more touches. I think rigg did ok but his first touch is awful, should have buried the chance before they went up our end and scored. Raynes and Ellis were strong, Joyce was not at his best. Good point in the end though.

was a good game tonight.

shows that we are not quite there but massive massive progress has been made.

would love a bit of creativity in the middle and a bit of natural width on the wings but we're getting there

No I'm not, but thanks for asking. Are you?

I think Hope has the ability and attributes to be. Gillesphey not quite there yet but improved tonight.

Rigg unfortunately isn't good enough IMO. But you obviously think different? Enlighten me.

Rigg isn't that good. Was overrated last season or the season before because he was one of the only half decent players in a terrible terrible squad.

Hope is better than Rigg. Rigg contributed nothing when he came on. Asamoah should have been on for Wyke. Poor lad must have been fuming when Rigg got brought on ahead of him.

I also prefer Gillesphey.

Haven't seen the blues anywhere near as much as would usually so may be unfair, but thought Ellis looked shocking tonight. At fault for both goals.
Oh for the day when centre halfs were men who would never get simply shrugged off the ball.

Unfortunately Rigg is completely one-footed. He seems to think that he has a left one only because socks come in pairs.

A decent point in the end, they dominated possession for most of the game and are a good side. Critically speaking you could say we should've finished our chances in the short section we were on top on the first half, Wyke should be scoring 1 on 1. I thought Ellis and Joyce were good last night, I felt for Rigg coming on - he looked as if he wasn't quite sure where he was playing, didn't look comfortable on the ball and led one lad walk past him late on. McQueen as well is just a little lightweight at the minute for me, he can put a full back on the back foot running at them but doesn't offer a lot in terms of defensive stability when we're under pressure. 4 points from 2 games with 1 to play isn't too bad, get beat on Saturday however and it looks poor.

I agree, thought Ellis was poor last night. Can't understand why Asamoah wasn't brought on for Wyke either like others in this thread. Rigg hasn't been playing which was blatantly obvious by his performance last night, which I suppose you can't really blame Rigg for.

Rigg desperately needs to go back to barrow to get his match fitness and sharpness back. Could see why Curle called on rigg rather than Asamoah.

Riggs a good player for lower half teams of league 1&2 that need a scrappy striker

Rigg is good enough for Carlisle not his fault he hasn't been involved a lot and that injury knocking him. If that chance came last night with having played a few games he would of buried that chance. Right decision to bring him on ahead of asamoah they had two big physical cbs which riggy won battles with where as asamoah legs towards the end is what was needed so correct decision. Some people think we are better than what we actually are we are a league 2 team and have been for a few seasons now. Hope rigg gets more chances and prove the doubters wrong

I agree with everything you say Crunch apart from the Gilliead bit because for me he's a passenger when played in the middle and the game is a bit too physical for him at the moment until he puts some weight on. His best contribution was when he pulled slightly wide for the Raynes assist as he is much more effective out wide.

I thought Orient were the best team I've seen this season by some distance although they weren't hurting us too much first half. They looked better in terms of technical quality and movement off the ball and looked like a L1 side at times. Nolan changed the game with their subs and we couldn't get back into it for half an hour into the second half. On the other hand whenever we got it we looked long for Jabo and it's 50/50 whether we were gonna retain possession or not.

Their goals were preventable to say the least and I didn't realise Gillespie got done through the legs for their second until I watched the highlights. For me Joyce had a lot of the ball but tended to slow the game down at every opportunity and took too long when he had runners then the chance was missed. We haven't got a passer left in midfield now that Dicker's gone and we needed one last night. I also thought we lacked balance as every single player apart from Gillesphey is predominantly right-footed so everything gets played inside all the time. The RB knows that Hope is going to check inside nine times out of ten when he gets it.

After the slating I gave Gillesphey on Saturday I think it's only right I praise him for his performance last night. He was our best player IMO and what a strike for the FK! Much better in possession and used the ball wisely. My view on Rigg was that he looked out of his depth in a game of this quality. Maybe that is down to a lack of game time but I was another who was certainly surprised Asamoah didn't come on for Wyke. Had Rigg taken that chance at the back post with his left foot we might have taken the 2-1 lead instead he got robbed trying to get it onto his right foot when he didn't have the time and 30 seconds later it was in the back of our net.

A fair result in the end but we knew we had to win one of these two home games so all we have to do now is beat top of the table Northampton on Satder.

Just wanted to say a special word of thanks to Nicky Hunt, Orient's right back, number 34. Since the dark Aidan McCaffery days never have I seen a professional footballer so utterly devoid of talent. He barely broke sweat, never put in a tackle and repeatedly found the pin point pass to a blue shirt that Hope and Joyce seemed unable to make. Arguably our best player. Overjoyed when he wasn't one of Orient's two half time subs

He might have had a poor night but you can hardly call him devoid of talent. Long career at Premiership and Championship level with Bolton, Birmingham, Preston etc
