That's terrible news - was just discussing the fact that we hadn't seen him at a match in a long time with another fan at the last home game. Used to stand with him at most games, knew he hadn't been well in recent years.

I know Bumble was a close friend. Great character, always enjoyed him telling us he "wouldn't bother coming back" next week only to see him stood in the same place having a grumble and giving the ref some jip.

RIP Hughie.

Bumble Offline Youth Team Player Posts: 380 Likes received: 243	Hughie died on Sunday, despite the most excellent care from the Heart Unit at the Carlisle Infirmary. His daughter doesn't have a date for the cremation as yet but it will be some time next week, she has requested his ashes will be buried on the pitch at a later date.

A proper 'hardcore' blues fan, RIP and thoughts to his family and friends.

Muffter Offline Ball Boy Posts: 50 Likes received: 20	I knew big ugg for many years. Spent lots of time talking all things CUFC. The last time I spoke to him properly was about 6 months ago. Mid way through the conversation my wife suddenly appears and gives myself a massive bollocking for drinking too much the previous night much to uggs amusement! A big loss to his daughter Fiona, Appleby and the paddock. RIP
