How is that possible in the treacle-like world of business and football, where getting a reply email from a billionaire takes ten months?

Appears that the selected bid has offered their current owner a decent value, as he has said a bid of £10m is well short of his valuation, most likely covering all of the money he has put into the club himself.

Very different from any bids we have received.

True, a lot of that value will be because their ground's a near 20,000 all seater stadium while half of ours is still a pre-decimalisation throwback and has flooded twice in the last 10 years

and some of it may be because he's a better salesman and makes it sound a good prospect. AJ moans he has to keep sticking cash in, it needs 15 million for a new ground, the fans are [censored] and then wonders why no-one will give him millions for it.

My understanding is that a bid from an American buyer has been accepted but Notts also had a local buyer's offer and a potential Chinese buyer. All in a very short space of time. I don't think anyone on here has commented on the recent stadium survey which shows that we only fill 26% of our ground making us the 4th worst supported per capacity of the 92 clubs. Only Morecambe, Notts County and Newport are below us. I still think Notts might be relegated.

ORFC - difference being Trew is a motivated seller and Jenkins isn't maybe ?
