Nope. His crap season this season is more down to his midfield partner.
Last season Dempsey, this season Joyce
If you wanted to be really pedantic you could say that Kyle Dempsey in midfield resulted in a near relegation where as Luke Joyce in midfield meant we finished (hopefully) top half.
Could be another thread, this. What else is Joyce responsible for?

Can you please tell me where I've blamed Joyce for this seasons failings (seeing as I've obviously slated him as above?) Kennedy obviously plays better with an attacking midfielder alongside him, as his performances last season compared to this season have shown. Are you saying that Joyce is an attacking midfielder?
KD was the reason we stayed up last season, not the reason we were in a relegation battle. How many of our goals was he involved in?

Luke Joyce seems to the the centre of criticism far too often. Similar to how Thirlwell and also Lumsdon were before some ate their words - the latter now a cult hero but I remember plenty criticism from the stands before he turned opinions. He does the dirty work and often goes unnoticed. Perhaps some should should stop chanting Jabo's name whenever he so much as farts on the bench and instead appreciate his work to break up play in the middle and to allow our forward players to play with freedom should they have the confidence too - which is a different matter.
My only disappointment was how he failed to step up to the challenge, like the whole team, vs. Northampton, playing against a team in the same league and backing off them like they were Barcelona was embarrassing.
He has bad games like every player, but he puts in an honest shift every week and doesn't deserve to be burdened with the blame for the form we're in at the minute.
No, he doesn't deserve to get all the blame for the form we are in. But quit with the 'unseen work' malarkey. How many times when we are attacking in the opposition half does he decide to pass the ball backwards? People say that he's improved as a player since his first spell here. In my eyes he's the same player, which for 7 years development as a midfielder away from the club, I'd expect him to have improved an awful lot
