You are quite correct he did play for both but the fact he was born in Argentina and played for Argentina makes him South American in my eyes. I had this conversation yesterday with another boarder and some interesting points arose. Diego Costa has similar nationality circumstances to Di Stefano and I wouldn't class him as a European footballer either.
