Don't watch premier league anyway so couldn't give 2 f***s.

Might watch the odd game if Holly Willoughby is presenting it though.

Does anyone actually find that Corden bloke funny?

I'm with Crunch,I don't watch it, the only time I watch MOTD is when it's FA Cup coverage. I tend to wait until Mondays to watch the goals round-up not even knowing most of the scores.

In the Friday night games, each side should have two celebrity guest stars playing for them. Like QI and the Buzzcocks one would need to be half decent at it and the other would be there to provide pratfalls and laughs, falling over the ball or passing to the opposition striker all the time. There would be no draws, after 90 minutes each side would have to dress up in "It's a knock out" style costumes before one or the other side's comedy players sticks it in their own net to finish the game off.

Part of the reason I don't watch much football at all apart from all the on field bollox is the terrible coverage and the clever arse punditry of some ex pro clawing another few million out of the game slagging a ref off who saw an incident once, but with the help of a wagon full of analysts and 30 cameras manages to prove the ref wrong and sit there smugly talking utter bollox at us

I find most of what they talk about totally irrelevant and quite frankly boring I couldn't give a toss how many passes Arsenal made against Norwich or see shit loads of poxy arrows on the telly showing us how Newcastle should have defended a corner so quite frankly they may as well have comedians presenting it as its all irrelevant bollox anyhow

Just show me the football in fact they could do away with the commentary for me too although if the get Holly Willoughby I might start watching again

Watching MOTD now has gone downhill. They show about 5 minutes of coverage of a game and then some shit pundits that have nothing to say drone on for 10 minutes.
When it comes to live games, I just watch the game as think the pundits are completely pointless.
Like watching the match, hate the pundits, get a proper job.
If they had a half-time show with dancing girls and some crap comedian doing a turn, I would be more likely to watch.

Much prefer BT for pundits over Sky or BBC.

No problem with a Fri game, far better than a Mon (Never a football night for me!).

The biggest problem with big ticket Friday night games, as they've found in the past, is that half the crowd are still trying to get to the ground at 7.45 because the poor [censored] are stuck in pre-weekend traffic.
If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off

"Make it more celebrity-focussed"

That illustrates perfectly how f*cking thick and pathetic our society has become. What an embarrassing country.

Since I've had BT as well as sky I find I watch about 4 games a weekend. Decent pundits can add a bit to the programme and fill the halftime gap, nothing much more than that really.

I do enjoy the more 'behind the scenes' interviews to get to know a club or player but can't see how a set up as mentioned would work.
all views my own

I watched a couple of FA cup games on corals website the other week. No commentary just crowd noise. Was more enjoyable than listening to the usual drivel.

"The idea is to make the show more spectacular to ensure fans on a night out choose pubs and clubs that screen live football"

Very rarely do we would have the volume on for the build up of a game, and don't really get asked for it except the bigger games. Don't really think this move would change that and can't see people choosing to go to the pubs because of it.
From the few Friday night games that have been on TV in the last couple of seasons there's not been much interest in general although off top of head the bigger games haven't happened on Fridays and can't see the police ever allowing them to either.

Couldn't agree more. The kardashians, TOWIE and all that crud also illustrates it
