The contempt that JN/AJ have for the fans runs to their contempt for other local teams as well........you have to say that they are consistent at least.....

They more than made up for it by adding £1 on to the advertised ticket price.

Was always £6? Not their fault CU sent an email saying £5?

Ah right, fair dos I got that price off the email.

Also noticed they'd put a handwritten £6 sticker over their £5 sign at the turnstiles. It's fair enough though, expect a bigger crowd so grab the opportunity to bump up the price slightly.

We played very well. Penrith normally give us a better game though. Miller, Brough, Hery, Walker and Kearns were the standouts.

On the pricing, Penrith will be charging adults £6 for every game next season, not just for this friendly.

Think their price for season only got passed at AGM a few days ago, but was always going to be £6. No surprise our lot got it wrong!

Just got a text saying (ill describe them as) some of our female away travel regulars arguing with a gateman coz they had to pay a quid more than Carlisle had said it was.

Surprised it was so cheap and that's at £6. After the stunt carlisle pulled charging £500 I was expecting it to be £8-10 per person.
Credit to Penrith for not passing this cost onto supporters. Nixon & Jenkins take note, yes it may of been Curle who thought the idea up but our BOD should of stepped in and said that's not how we do things here.

11 goals scored 0 conceded... Some decent performances, if we carry that into the next 3 friendlies and then the season it could be happy days on the pitch at least... Having watched our dross friendlies the last 2/3 years quite happy that i've attended 2 of 3 this year!

Long way to go but i'm pretty optimistic... Hopefully Curles done the necessary dirty ground work last year kept us up and can now push on with his squad!

It's nice that we appear to have 2 proper right backs signed. 3 of you count Atkinson, but think CB will be his position.

It's embarrassing how long that position has been neglected by our previous 2 managers.

Impressed with Miller today, think he'll slot straight in at right-back. Hery looked promising too.

Well Penrith had their AGM last week, in which they agreed to raise the adult price to £6 for the coming season. It was £5 last season, so £1 increase is still very reasonable.
After all, what can you buy for £1 these days? A football club, did I hear someone shout?

Perhaps the £1 hike brought in today was to offset the demand for £500 by some greedy greedy greedy [censored] at CUFC? If so, good luck to Penrith, I say.

Jesus we were playing Penrith not Inter Milan,if any Carlisle player didn't look good today its a poor do,,pre season form means nothing lets wait till 10 games in to the season before getting carried away.

I disagree... Friendlies are mainly about fitness and regaining match sharpness however form means everything... Winning breeds confidence and if we can continue as we are then come first game of the season the squad should be bouncing!

We look a far more professional outfit than the team that showed up last summer and countless summers before under Greg & kav.... People were excited by the players we signed last year Dicker Paynter Marrow etc and they looked like Sunday league players in the friendlies and league... A 7-0 victory against a team I guarantee weren't treating it as a friendly is a decent outing and should cause optimism!
