Billionaires don't generally do sharing either so the notion of local investment supplementing a material investment is ludicrous.Why would you let locals ride on your money and shirt tails?You wouldn't.

Jon does make a very salient point on timing.Our proposal was not conditional on our league status,despite the Club being in dire trouble.That the billionaire is not prepared to move things on from a position of relative success this year says it all

I am surprised that the owners are apparently still dancing to the organ grinder's tune-hardly makes for a reasonable negotiation after hanging around for nearly a year via a naughty agent.

The billionaire thing is rather unpleasant-it plays on dreams,daring fans to believe it might actually be true when at best it's a huge longshot.

Time to move on I think as it is likely putting off any serious other protagonists from making an approach to take the Club on.Its hardly a welcoming open door to new money when the owners are publicly hanging around for a billionaire to make his mind up is it?

It is the Managers job to motivate, reward and support the team, his worst nightmare is losing the dressing room, we know where that ends. It is the Boards job to motivate every one, and thing that can benefit the Club, Supporters, Local Business's, Sponsors, Suppliers etc, as well as the Manager.

Unfortunately our Board has lost the plot.....

I've said on other threads what billionaire would want to invest in a piss pot average Div 2 side when he could buy virtually any side in the Prem league, Guys its not rocket science I'm really surprised that that kind of bullshit would come even out of them 3 clowns mouths.....

Anyone looking to invest in the club must consider the assets. The stands and terracing - not much value there, the land - flooded twice in 11 years, before 2005 might have had significant development potential, now not exactly prime real estate, the players - decent hardworking league 2 lads but no million pound bounties amongst them. The only asset I can see the club has, is the supporters.
Who is going to chuck a few million pounds at AJ & co for the above little box of dainties. The BOD need to accept that they are in charge of a declining institution (as it stands), get on their knees and beg forgiveness from the supporters for the billionaire farce, accept that no sane person is going to hand over a couple of million to AJ as a retirement present and start seriously considering any genuine offers they`ve had from parties who wish to take the club forward.
