Yes.... but he won't pass the initial screening and won't make it through to "approved puppet" status in the 2nd stage of the "fully democratic" voting process. Unless he can shoehorn a member of his family onto the selection panel like last year's winner....

It's a yes from me even though he is friends with Mr and Mrs Nixon.

Slight issue in that i haven't applied, but i suppose I cant complain about other polls if i ignore this one

Being serious now it depends what people want for the fans rep i suppose. If you want someone to put the flags out, meet and greet and play to the current owners tune then its a fat no from me. But if you want someone to get answers to the relevant questions and not leave until i get them, they can't keep saying its holding company business. The main thing is the main 3 players are in this meeting therefore the questions should be asked and not relented until an answer is given and published.

That would be fun to watch as a fly on the wall at the boardroom meetings, but it may lead to a breakdown in open communications between the gruesome twosome and the fans rep... Oh wait a minute...

I've voted yes, simply because I'd love to see how long it takes for him to come back with his tail between his legs, apologising for being all talk and not being able to get any answers either.

As per last year the vote will not be run during the period of a couple of home game when articles from the 4 contenders, voting boxes and slips (inside the programmes) could have been used to get more supporters engaged in the vote and the issues being raised by the candidates.

As it is, it will be down - again - to how many votes each candidate can generate on a personal basis ie. how many people you can (literally) call upon to vote for you. The last vote totalled about 700 votes, less than 20% of an average crowd. Sadly, unless things have changed dramatically amongst the rank and file supporter, it's unlikely this vote will garner any more. I am not convinced that given the time of this announcement - out of the blue - and how the club has not published clear terms of reference for the Rep the body of supporters will a) be anymore aware of the fan rep and its role b) engage in any form of election.

Sadly, this role seems to have been subsumed within the Club's publicity machine as a way of promoting the club......

Its a yes from me...there isn't enough cardigans in football him and Danny Murphy breaking new ground

Surely the majority on here ie the ones who didnt want representation at the CUSG meetings will also not have voted to be represented by the fans rep as they want to remain unrepresented? Some how i doubt it though and theyll say this is totally different.

I certainly didn't say I didn't want to be represented at a CUSG meeting. One of my problems was that I felt I was already being represented more than enough. I am currently a member of CUSC (although won't be when my membership lapses), I use the CUSAT buses, I have joined the West Coasters facebook page. So at the moment I'm represented three times, four if you count the fans rep as well and yet so far for all that representation, very little has actually happened.

I am glad folk have taken on the messageboard, mainly because on the messageboard I can give my opinion. It might not be welcome , or in tune with other folks but it's mine and not a representation of a very diverse group of fans. As I've said previously more than happy for folk to go to the CUSG meetings, I just feel personally I don't need representing a fifth time.
