TOPIC: Wembley 95

Was 21 years ago on Saturday. Still to this day the best atmosphere I have ever experienced at a match. It was the highest attendance at Wembley that season as well was it not? Was just a nipper but still remember clear as day looking up Wembley Way to the towers.

And I'll never forgive Paul Tait, where ever he is now. Prick. And those Birmingham fans who were in the home end and went mental when they scored.

Found a VHS recording of the final the other week. Nowt to play it on though!

Watched the Border TV documentary of the day this morning. Michael Knighton, total crook but gave us some good times

Michael Knighton always just seem to stay on the right side of both the laws of the land and those of the Football League. Although some of his business practices led him to be banned as company director.

A clever bloke when it came to promoting a football club though and knew how to get the punters in. Lost his mind in the latter days.

He sued one or two people who said he never has the funds in place to buy Manchester United - and won!

MK, A far better person now to have at the club than the reluctant custodians..

It's a poor state of affairs when people start wishing Knighton was back in charge. Can only assume senility has set in.
