I had always hoped Carlisle United would be able to do something like this. Indoor and outdoor grass and 4g pitches for the community with the football club at the heart of it.

it must be viable as a business or Soccerworld wouldn't be doing it. To do it as part of Carlisle United would have been such a massive PR promotion and really sealed the club into the community.

It shames me to say I would have liked something along the lines of Barnet's new set up (except with a decent stadium as well). That complex really did embrace the community it was built in.

Such a massive shame we seem intent in imploding into ourselves whilst a huge chance to grow and be part of the community has gone elsewhere.

Thought this had been knocked on the head last time I was down the tip the soccerworld signs were down and replaced with signs offering the land for development opportunities. Good to see its back on track though have used similar facilities in Glasgow and Manchester and is good set up.
