TOPIC: Are Old Fashioned Values to tough for today's society ?

So, now the kids are going on strike. The new curriculum places great emphasis on English and maths, but the teachers say they need to more broad in the teaching and will not have time with the heavy emphasis on the main core subjects.

The parents say the kids (6 years old upwards) are suffering nightmares and stress due to the pressure.

The solution.......Strike !! I can't work out the logic, but I'm sure our socialist friends will fill us in on how taking kids out of school for two days will help them.

Yes definitely. I just wish I still had a forelock to tug for when I meet my elders and betters.

The schooling is obviously failing people, if they don't know when to use 'too' instead of 'to'. Maybe there should have been strikes earlier.

Look at the best education system in europe, finland look at how they operate, they have no homework, less exams, less school hours as facts state that the mind is more sepceptical to learning when relaxed.
