Barnsley winning last night means they will be going to Wembley twice this season in different competitions. How many other clubs have done that?

I don't know the answer, just wondering.

Bradford did it fairly recently I'm sure. There will no doubt be others.

Man Utd and Palace will be going to Wembley twice this season

No doubt Nixon will be going more than twice on football league jollies.

Any FA Cup finalist since new Wembley opened. Bring back neutral semi final venues you money grabbing tossers.

Does this include the charity shield as bound to be a few teams played in that and then a cup final later in the season. Arsenal did it last season

I'm sure Swansea did it the season we played them in the JPT final.

It was the millennium stadium then, but still the same achievement nonetheless.

Yeah this must be right,I think Arsenal must have done something like:

League Cup final 1993
Fa cup semi v Spurs (?) April 93
Final v Sheff Wed May 93
Then the replay a few days afterwards
Charity shield v Man Utd August 93

Sheff Wed did all of the above bar the charity shield, didn't they play Sheff Utd in the semis?

Man Utd lost the 1983 league cup final to Liverpool, but beat Brighton in a cup final replay the same season, so presumably played in the charity shield that August.

For Swansea, didn't they beat us in the 2006 JPT final with a goal when Akinfenwa handled it in the build up...then he missed the deciding pen in the play off final? What goes around...

There was definitely a Sheffield semi-final around that time. It would've been easier for them to play at Old Trafford or Villa Park.

Few other shouts.

Middlesbrough lost both cup finals in 97.

Also, remember the Simod Cup? If the final was played at Wembley, and I think it was, then throw in both Luton 1988 and Forest 1989 as teams that played in both the Simod and Littlewoods finals in the same year. I also have a feeling that Forest beat Everton in the 89 final so Everton would have lost both the FA and Simod finals in the same year!

Don't see folk blowing themselves up in the name of pulled pork though do you.

(Ironic for you to say that when your pic is of you eating a big 'american' style burger)

Live Aid was 85. Queen's own concert was 86.

I remember Glass playing, was he not credited with an OG,when a shot bounced off the bar and in off the back of his head?
