Find that very hard to believe. Presuming the lowest Hartlepool offered was £500 a week, there's no way we'd have him on £2,500 a week. I'd have expected him to be on a grand a week, which to be fair is still a lot for a player who isn't going to be a regular.

I think the problem would be that he was on large wages full stop and its hard to then move existing players down onto Curly Keiths heavilly incentivised contracts.

Was just thinking apart from Gillespie who seemed happy enough to re sign last season are there any players left now from the pre Curle era
