Speaking of Dykes there's a few good interviews with him on UnitedPlayerHD now. Always comes across well, sounds like he's put together a really good scouting network in place on both sides of the border.

Curle was about this time last year with summer recruitment....it was Abbott and Kav who picked up the players after most clubs who did their shopping early. I wonder how Cambridge are getting on?

Yeah my initial reaction was we were getting in early but seemingly we did the same.last year. Remember being quite excited as we had previously needed to wait until every other club had signed who they wanted before we could get what was left.

At least now we seem to have genuine targets amd are actively going about getting them in.

Impressed.with the two signings so far - one because he is a proven performer st this level and people seem genuinely surprised.we have got him and the other because it shows that we are identifying players from more unusual sources and then being prepared to back their judgment and give him a chance.
