Anybody hear if there were any trialist in on day one of pre-season training.

Surely Curle and co have a few players they want to have a look at. Hopefully a keeper, defender and striker. As surely our midfield is about complete.

They would be likely to join a week leading upto a game, get a look at them then see if its worth looking at them in a game. Not gonna learn much from running drills.

You don't learn much from friendlies either unfortunately unless they're really shite.

I remember Billy Wright playing in a friendly at Gretna and we signed on the strength of that. Bloody useless he was.

Unknowns pitching up and being a success are few and far between. Karl Hawley was alright mind.
