He's a strange player. He's definitely got some talent and showed that when he was up here, but he's now 26 and has made a total of 50 starts in the league in his entire career. 13 goals in total, 4 of those here, so his goals to starts ratio is actually fairly good, but he's never settled and actually done well with one club.

He should've signed for us after his loan spell and not gone to Charlton, but I think his agent had a large say in that. I'd be interested in seeing what he has to offer; maybe he just needs some time at one club to really kick-start his career. He was very highly rated at Sunderland so you'd have thought he could offer us something different at this level.

Why the hell would we want to play a five-man MF, we are in the fourth division. We don't get to play Barcelona,Juve etc.

As for Cook, I wanted us to sign him from Sunderland, he looked a really good player at the time and someone we could've made a few bob on a couplke years down the line. I'm surprised he's done as little as he has in his career. Maybe a move back up North and a little closer to home might bring the best out of him.
