DYKES: 'The player is from a higher division with great calibre and has moved for money in the past'

CARLISLE: Lee Dykes reveals club hope to complete deal for 'exciting' player in next two to three days

Exciting has to be a winger or forward, get guessing..

Just picking one at random, Jose Baxter.

Shaun Brisley, mentioned earlier? Peterborough are a League above, and think they paid Macclesfield for him?

Exciting to me also kind of suggests an attacking player, which would rule out Brisley.

But I suppose defenders can be exciting as well. I guess.

Mind you i think a good centre back should be top of our priorities.

Bury have been back in training for 3 days, Maybe that's enough time for David Flitcroft to realise Hallam Hope has no future in league 1.

Having had a quick look at the League One released list (assuming they've been released) I'll go Richard Chaplow of Donny, Ryan Flynn from Sheff Utd or Jose Baxter also released from Sheff Utd

Given Baxter's recent history, I'd hope we steer clear of him.

As previously mentioned I strongly fancy it to be Chris Eagles. For some reason I didn't think he got the criteria of previously being sold for money but he does. You'd expect it to be him as Curle has previously mentioned we went for him in January and it would in keep with the trend of going back to players we tried to sign in Jan, a la Nicky Adams, Mike Jones etc

Not too sure mate, Jon Colman put an interview he did with the Sun about his partner having a still birth not so long back so I think football's taken a back seat for a while understandably. He says in the interview though he wants to get back and playing and enjoying it again so doesn't sound as though we could foresee any attitude problems if he were to come to us, and we know how carefully Keith vets his players as well.. If he can tell they're not 100% committed he won't sign them. Or so he tells us anyway! ;)
