TOPIC: Kick offs have changed

One player passing it backwards now. As bad as having 2 blokes behind each goal doing nowt, what a load of s****

It makes sense though. What's the point in having to have two players passing it forward to then pass it back anyway?

Not really a big deal is it? Just means your team has possession.

Why change it now though?

Its just an added option, you can still use two if you want too..

Football has been played since 1869 and managed until now.

Another change is offside free kicks to be taken from where the offence occurs not where the player was when the ball is kicked. So it could be given well into your own half.

Think it's a great idea.

Improved my enjoyment of this tournaments football no end.

I guess with all the negative football about these days and teams reluctant to put even two players up to the halfway line it makes sense. They can pass it back straight from kick-off and keep it in their own half for as long as possible.

At least now we can get it back to Grainger quicker for the punt up field
